  1. I don't know what you are taking about Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  2. Imagine making it all the way to the playoffs and your team has to start Taylor Heinecke, John Woolford, or Mitchell Trubisky.
  3. The announcers said that it was the first pick-6 on that type of play all season I don't care. Its a horsefeathering stupid play call. And no way that's true unless they are saying it only about the Seahawks. I never seen someone hate a staple of every NFL and college playbook so much.
  4. They should fire Pagano, promote Jay Rodgers and make sure he doesn’t get away like Staley. Absolutely. Then if they do go after Staley, it's a no-brainer transition to keep Rodgers at DC. And I'd love him to bring Shane Waldron at OC.
  5. Helluva game by the Bears future head coach, Brandon Staley.
  6. nah, the Rams D is insane I know Wilson isn't bad. But I see an offensive coordinator position opening up Monday.
  7. Is Russell Wilson bad? 180 yards per game the last half of the season. Half of his last 8 games under 63% completion, with 12 TDs, 5 INTs. Still well over 4000 yards and 69% completion for the season with 40 TDs, which shows how crazy his first 8 games were.
  8. I like Darrisaw, a lot. I think he's a top 10 talent in this draft, and the 2nd best tackle. He's really powerful and athletic. Has footwork issues, but nothing egregious. I think he's every bit as good as the group of 4 OTs that went top 13 last year. So I would be very excited about this pick. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk I assume Darrisaw will end up going way too high for the Bears. I think mock drafts are light on him and he’s the type of guy who’ll blow up at the combine. Yeah, I see him going to one of the OL desperate teams who don't need a QB. If the Jets go Sewell at 2, it wouldn't be horrible (IMO) if the Bengals went after Darrisaw at 5. I think he could be worth it, and a better option than any defensive player or a WR that early.
  9. Not his fault. WR has to get a better block. OC has to do a better job designing the sceeen. Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  10. Well looks like my thoughts on Taylor vs Akers were wrong all around, though Taylor did have 80 yards and a TD. But Akers may win this game. Rams D has a TD and several sacks already though Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Tapatalk
  11. That was my thinking with the Colts as well as the Rams. I figured Goff wasn't starting (of course he's in 2nd series as I type), which makes their WRs pointless. And the Rams were playing a division game against an offense not as red hot. So, my decision basically came down to Taylor vs. Akers which was easy for me in Taylor's favor. Taylor's better bet for points and the Colts were more likely to win their game, IMO. I went with QB: Josh Allen, Tom Brady RB: J Taylor, Kamara, Aaron Jones, Carson WR: A Robinson, AJ Brown, McLaurin, Claypool TE: Kelce, Andrews K: Browns DEF: Rams Picked Claypool over the other Pittsburgh WRs because he's the big play guy and he was their top WR in both games vs. Cleveland. I couldn't pick Marqise Brown over Andrews in case the Ravens win, and they probably have the best chance to pull the upset this weekend. Thought about Dobbins but that probably would have meant Logan Thomas at TE and Davante over Aaron Jones. I wanted to go with my gamble that nobody picked Jones w/ Adams and Rodgers as options for GB. And Jones scored twice in each of the playoff games last year for the Packers.
  12. Interesting takes. Thanks! There's 78 people in this thing, so I have to be pretty unique to win. Payout is $1200 to the winner, down to $200 for 2nd place, and 7-10th place get $50. $20 buy in. I think I will take your advice on some of the moves, definitely the QBs from different conferences. Played it safe-ish last year and was out of it before the Superbowl. No risk it, no biscuit!
  13. So, I am in a playoff fantasy thing where you have a 14-man roster: 2 QB 4 WR 4 RB 2 TE 1 K 1 DEF You have to pick ONE player from each playoff team. Scoring is typical 1/2 PPR (which I've never done). But these are my current picks: QB- Wilson-SEA, Brady- TB RB- Dobbins- BAL, Henry- TEN, Chubb- CLE, Kamara- NO WR- McLaurin- WFT, Adams- GB, Smith-Schuster- PIT, Diggs- BUF TE- Kelce- KC, Burton- IND K- Santos- CHI DEF- LA Rams Figured put my K and D on my teams most likely to lose this weekend. I really wanted to put Jonathan Taylor-IND at RB, which would mean Andrews-BAL at TE, but I think the Ravens are more likely to win than the Colts, so I'm more likely to get a 2nd game out of Dobbins. I also would like a QB I think is going to the SB, but the favorites are KC and GB and they have the best TE and WR respectively. Anything different anyone would do?
  14. I like Darrisaw, a lot. I think he's a top 10 talent in this draft, and the 2nd best tackle. He's really powerful and athletic. Has footwork issues, but nothing egregious. 15. Rodgers is putting up an MVP season at age 37. I'm sure they wouldn't throw away a young elite QB to embark on a multi-year rebuild. While an elite QB cannot by themselves make a bad team good, they can vastly accelerate the timeline of a rebuild. Well, we're all pretty sure they won't do it. I posted a tweet that said they won't. But Watson doesn't seem to be the type of QB that's going to be elite approaching 40. He still uses his legs a ton and there's not much history of those guys with tons of longevity.

  17. The Watson thing is interesting if for nothing more than the fact there's almost no chance they are better than say 6-10 next year. No 1st or 2nd which is well known, but they are also almost 18Mil over the cap. They can cut several players and get 40Mil in cap room, but some of those are pretty important players. Mainly, JJ Watt and Brandin Cooks. Cooks wouldn't normally be a enormous loss, but Will Fuller is also a FA. So, the Texans could go from losing Hopkins to losing Fuller, Cooks and one of the most popular athletes in his city in any US professional sport. Can also cut a couple linemen (which they have been constantly looking for in the Watson era), their starting LB and CB from a bad defense, but those are still guys they have to replace with limited cap space and no picks in the top 65. So, if you assume they can't possibly bring in enough help to be good next year; and it may take a year or two for their 2022 draft picks to be huge factors, then there's incentive there from Houston's end to just pile up the picks and rebuild the whole thing without wasting 26 & 27 year old seasons of their QB.
  18. that would be sea-change compared to how often the Bears go downfield Maybe just with Mitch at QB. Looking at your pass charts, I’ve got Trubisky only completing 3 20+ yarders this season, including what looks to be a Hail Mary from last week. But Foles has 17 completions past that range. To be fair, like 14 of those 17 from Foles were against Atlanta in the 2nd half.
  19. After I said i was sold on them on Christmas, they lost like 4 out of 5 and had a worst record than the Knicks. But yeah, they SHOULD be there at the end of the season. May not be the 1 seed, but they'll be the hardest out in the East if at all.
  20. After reflecting on Sunday's game, I feel much better about that game and potentially the prospects of this game. The Bears offense was really very similar to the offense that put up 30+ the previous 4 weeks. Probably should have gone to more intermediate and deep passing plays while the game was still competitive, but if they converted better in short yardage in the redzone, it's a completely different game and an acceptable offensive outcome. The Bears scored 1 TD in 5 trips to the redzone, granted one of those was at the end of the game where they ran out of tie, but they had 6th trip ended on 4th and 1 from the 25. After the fumbled punt return, 3 and out from the 20. Was 3rd and 3 and they ran for 1 yard w/ Montgomery. Should have gone 4th and 2 from the 12. The drive before the half, they did run out of time, but I thought they had time for 1 more shot at the end zone. 9 seconds were left on the near INT. Sucks because that play GB rushed 3 and Leno allowed 1 of the team's only 2 pressures on the day. Trubisky couldn't step into the throw and I think ARob makes a play if the QB is able to throw that with a clean pocket. First drive in the 2nd half, they got the big Mooney play and then got conservative. Inside run to Montgomery, screen to Mooney, and that 3rd down play was just a mess. No Graham or Miller on the field. Wims was out there instead in trips. Mooney ran another 1/2 yard route, making him an easy cover for Amos. Robinson was doubled by the CB and safety. Wims was doubled by 2 LBs in the middle of the field. Only Robinson's route even took him in the endzone, and he was doubled. Kmet was the lone receiver on the other side. He was the primary read, but was covered by their best CB, Jaire Alexander because of the formation. Montgomery caught the checkdown out of the backfield and got to the 2....which the Bears should have gone for. I think on that 3rd down, you have to create a matchup advantage. Maybe Robinson in the slot vs the 2 LBs. Mooney running across the endzone. Graham outside 1-on-1 with a CB or LB. Just bad coaching in general. Should have gone 4th and goal from the 2. The drive at the end of the 3rd, wasn't quite in the redzone but obviously that 4th and 1 play didn't work. Even taking out the drive before the half, they were 2 yards, 3 yards, and 2 yards again from potential TDs. Instead of 21 points, they got 6. That puts the game at 35-31 (more likely 30 or 32, as they would have gone for 2 at some point), with the final drive ending with time running out at the 1. If they play the same vs. New Orleans, with albeit a better defense, and clean up the short yardage stuff....they can score enough points to win this game. I don't think NO scores 5 TDs. So, if the Bears can somehow get to 30 again, I think they win. Easier said than done obviously, but I dont feel like it's an impossible task like I did even a few hours ago.
  21. I don't see how he's not elite. If you think Cam Newton was worthy of a #1 pick (MVP season says he was before injuries), then Fields is certainly worth a top 5. Similar style player, but I think a much better, more experienced passer coming into his draft. He's certainly got his warts, but those deep balls he was dropping into his WRs breadbasket 50 yards down field were special. Yeah, and i was more impressed with a few of his throws to the TEs. People were critical of him not throwing the ball between the hashes very much, but he threw a few tight window throws in the middle of the field which is typically the difference between a good and a great NFL QB.
  22. I don't see how he's not elite. If you think Cam Newton was worthy of a #1 pick (MVP season says he was before injuries), then Fields is certainly worth a top 5. Similar style player, but I think a much better, more experienced passer coming into his draft.
  23. While the game was competitive, the Bears called very few plays with routes beyond that 6-yard depth. It was pretty pathetic actually. The only ones I truly remember are the 3rd play of the game (really high to Mooney) and the deep ball to Mooney. Other than that, they didn't open up the field until the Bears were down 2 scores. Mitch threw the pick the first time they opened it up. Then kept checking it down. FWIW, the pass chart vs. Houston looks very similar. The Bears just had astronomical YAC numbers in that game.
  24. My predictions: Atlanta- Eric Bienemy Jacksonville- Urban Meyer LA Chargers- Brian Daboll Detroit- Robert Saleh NY Jets- Joe Brady Houston- Arthur Smith
