    We started spring 2004. I did post on Cubs.com before that as sanclementefan, though. definitely started in 2003. i was here for the lee/choi trade. and a bunch of you guys signup dates are spring 03. May 29, 2003 for me. I remember the 03 playoff conversation almost vividly.

    My story is most the same. He wasn't the biggest fan I knew, but he got me into the Cubs in the summer of 1984. He died in 1996, but was born in 1909 right before the Cubs began their last season as defending champions.

    Tons of crock pot meal ideas. There's beef stew, a hearty soup, chili, slow cooked beef or pork, sweet and sour meatballs, carnitas is a bomb ass idea, and you can pretty make any kind of slow cooked chicken dish in a crock pot and it all plays very well.

    DeShone Kizer, Deshaun Watson, or Brad Kaaya. Not sure if any will be good pros. This class kinds sucks for QBs. There's like 12-14 legit QBs in the NFL. Every draft sucks for them. Bears having a QB named DeShawn in any spelling would be pretty awesome though.

    That's not weird. That's [expletive] amazing. The Cubs won 98 last year and added full-season Bryant and Russell, then got Zobrist and Heyward.

    I'd actually probably bring in Wood in the 8th. I'd rather see whatever the hell [expletive] Hernandez over Utley or Reddick.

    Heyward's season should be relegated to late inning defense. I'd rather just let Montero and Ross catch and put Contreras in the OF every day from here on out.

    I was thinking that for game 6. I'd trust reliable mid-rotation Jake vs. a less left handed lineup, but vs. the righty thumping Dodgers, no thanks. Other than the guy pitching tonight, we have nothing resembling a match for Kershaw, so I'd trust the matchups and give Wood the first few innings, then maybe Zaz, and hope we can keep it close and chase Kershaw after 6-7 innings. And if they push a game 7, Hendricks vs. Hill is a pretty even matchup. You mean the guy that led the NL in ERA and gave up just a wind-blown HR in his most recent game, which came against Kershaw, doesn't resemble a match for him?
