    Yes, the deadline for Leonard Floyd and the other 2016 1st round picks was May 3rd this year. So presumably early May 2020, they'll have to decide on Mitch. I'd probably be of the mind to pick up the option, not sign an extension, and try and get competent/mediocrity out of him with a 5% chance of a late bloomer season, then start fresh in 2021. Yep. Exactly what's gonna happen. Bears are in the fun place where they don't have the picks to find a new QB of the future, and they don't have the cap space to find a stopgap veteran until they have picks.     This game is a trap. This is basically the Giants game from last year, all over again. Raiders are bad, but are pretty decent running the ball (just like the Giants last year). They've gotten off to a fast start (double digit early lead) in 3 of their 4 games so far. Their defense stinks, and will be worse without Burfict, but the Bears don't have the offense to do anything about it. And if they get out to a 10 or 14 point lead early, the Bears may be playing catch-up all day. Granted, I know this defense doesn't even give up 14 per game, but they can only win games by themselves for so long. We saw them give up points last year vs. NE, Miami, and the aforementioned Giants. There will be a couple lapses this year. Just the nature of being a defense heavy team. And with Smith, Hicks, and Nichols' statuses up in the air still, you can't really expect the defense to completely dismantle even a bad team, while playing overseas and potentially missing multiple starters again.

    Pretty sure that only applies on the road. They have a team hotel they all stay in. Can't really regulate on a home game when guys are sleeping in their own beds. Can't make them be in bed by 11 in their own house.

    Speculation is that Roquan was out til 5 AM last night and showed up hungover for the game. He was apparently on the sidelines during the game and left before the lockeroom was opened to the media.

    Nick Kwiatkoski, Nick Williams, and Kevin Pierre-Louis, combined for 20 tackles, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble. Next man up indeed.

    I think this is why he'll get another shot to pick a QB if this Trubisky thing doesn't work out. Many tied his fate to Trubisky when he was drafted 3 years ago, but the rest of his moves have been pretty phenomenal. And while QB is the most important position to get right, you also have to remember he made the pick with John Fox as HC, maybe even without Fox knowing about it happening. I think he'll get another chance to work with Nagy in picking the next QB, if necessary. I could be mis-remembering, but around the time Nagy was hired wasn't there a narrative that he had been just as enamored with Trubisky as the bears were before the draft? I even remember shots of him with a looney toons-esque face staring at Mitch like a t-bone at the combine or a pro day workout when he was with KC You remember correctly. But regardless, he would have said that about any QB, and he was on the team that ended up trading up for Mahomes (and picked him ahead of Watson).

    Rewatched some plays from the game, and boy is Kyle Long a shadow of his former self. He apparently aggravated his hip and is questionable for Sunday, but I don't think he should ever play again. He is really bad. Granted, nobody on the line has been all that good, but Long just has 0 ability left in his oft-injured body. I don't want anyone to get hurt, but he probably should be IR'd and bring up Alex Bars.

    Blasphemy, I know, but I kinda wanted the Packers to win last night. The Packers are obviously the biggest obstacle in the division, but I feel the Eagles are the most talented team in the NFC. If they had gone to 1-3, their season would have been on life support. They still have a 3-game road trip at MIN, DAL, and BUF followed by 3 home games vs. the Bears, Patriots and Seahawks (w/ a bye mixed in). The Eagles are going to get healthy and just like last year, be a force down the stretch where they have an easy last 5-6 weeks. GB win would have potentially meant 1 less team the Bears had to worry about in the NFC wildcard race if they don't win the division.

    IDK if my faith in a Bears win this game has more to do with the Bears or the fact that Cousins sucks against teams with a winning record through a rather sizeable sample size.

    Two-point conversion is from the 2. PAT from like the 15 or something like that. So, when they got the offsides they decided to go for 2 from half the distance to the goalline (AKA the 1), instead of the PAT from the 10. Not that it would make a huge difference, but seems like it should be at the 2 and not the 1. 2 or 15. - 5 penalty. 7 or 20. + 5 yard penalty 2 or 15. Ah ok. I didn't realize the Broncos got a penalty on the PAT first. My stream died on 4th and 2, and came back when the Broncos had the lead.

The 2 point conversion attempt would have been from the 7 after the Broncos penalty or 20 if they go for one. The Bears commit a 5 yard penalty, so that would mean either a 2 point try from the 2 again, or if it’s half the distance to the goal since the penalty occurred inside the 10 yard line than it would be a try from 3.5 yards out. Not sure why regular football rules wouldn’t apply here even if it’s a special play Where are you getting 7?
