  1. 2nd time Arizona has lost to a #15 seed when they were the #2 seed.
  2. No Way!! Unless he is really cheap. He can't stay on the field ... always injured
  3. Would you trade Michigan’s end game collapses for Illinois’ seeming need to be punched in the face (almost literally) before they wake up and realize that there’s a game going on? They turned the ball over in their first 4 possessions and allowed Purdue to score in their first 5 to go down 11 points three minutes into the game, had to play catch up the rest of the way and end up losing by 5. I’m looking around the Internet to find Illinois’ first half vs second half point differentials. It’s got to be substantial. Well Illinois is going to the NCAA tournament and because of the last 2 painful OT losses Michigan almost certainly isnt, so yes. But I have noticed that a ton from Illinois. Gotta be frustrating. 1st half # 103 Home +6.6 [glow=red]Away -3.2[/glow] 2nd Half # 11 Home +8.6 Away +2.1
  4. Still a chance according to this Link "At 14-19 and without a conference title to their credit, the Titans are ineligible for the NIT and NCAA Tournament. However, Davis could still break Maravich's record if Detroit is invited to a postseason event such as the CBI or The Basketball Classic, which allows teams with records below .500 to compete."
  5. Such a promising season down the drain. Well, actually..... Today is a great day ... My two favorite teams are Indiana and anyone that beats Purdue. :yahoo:
  6. yeah. no, thank you I don’t think people were saying yes to that specific pick, they are saying yes to that trade. Agreed, I was speaking only about the pick. The trade would of course be awesome.
  7. In this scenario using the #7 pick on a LB should be a firing offense.
  8. Given his history, I expect him to be named head coach of the Bills sometime after the Super Bowl.
  9. So, it cost us $39 million to trade Heyward for Bellinger and we still might end up with a weak hitting LH outfielder? Still worth it But this time the "LH outfielder" will be in the best shape of his life Also he is sure to have fully reworked his swing during spring training. ... seventh time is a charm ...
  10. My guess would be. Fourth in the Big 10 regular season at 12-8. 6-6 in Quad 1 games and 3-4 in Quad 2 games. going 9-10 in that amount of Quad 1 and 2 games probably more than makes up for the trash non-con schedule. Supposedly the last ten games or how you finish the season isn't as important as it once was. Now they apparently take a broader view of the entire resume.
  11. Best dam head coach in the Purdue's history. His ability to do more with less is on an epic level. One five star recruit in his time there. Averaging 22 wins a year while playing in a real conference like the Big 10 with a bunch of 3 and 4 stars. Lets see Coach K or Self or Smith or Williams or that scum at Kentucky do that with out rolling the ball out there to a bunch of five stars all the time. Three Big 10 titles, one time coach of the year nationally and four time Big 10 coach of the year. If not for a fluke play by Virginia to force overtime in the 2019 tournament they probably go on to beat Auburn in the FF and them perhaps even Texas Tech in NC. It's West Lafayette! recruits aren't knocking down the door to go there. If you somehow ever get another coach as good or better they will quickly leave for a blue blood and a higher paycheck. As an Indiana fan I fully endorse the idea of Purdue letting Painter go. One of my worst sport nightmares is the idea of Purdue hanging a banner. If anyone can do it in West Lafayette my money would be on Painter. Please! Purdue fans run him out of town now.
  12. The play of Arizona and to a lesser extent Indiana this year really show what crap coaches the Miller brothers are.
  13. Yea, the Bills look amazing Personally I think this is the exactly why it was a great decision by George to have Ted involved in the interview process. It would be an easy mistake for a "football fan" like George to look at the last three years and see Josh Allen's steady improvement. Due to recency bias a "football fan" might put to much weight on tonight's game where Buffalo's offence scored TD's on their first seven possessions. But thankfully we should be able to rely on Ted's ability to see through this mirage and see the obvious truth which should be apparent to a "football evaluator." Daboll clearly isn't a good play caller. Just look at the last series for Buffalo's offence. Three straight rushes for -2 yards. Not only were the results bad but in the NFL everyone watches film and scouts the other team's tendencies. You know the Patriots had to have been ready for what was coming. Then to make matters worse he called the exact same play two more times. That's the exact same play three times in a row! In an NFL playoff game no less. Oh, and who was the QB for these three plays? Yup, you guessed it. Mitch Trubisky. Even Matt Nagy got more production from Trubisky then that. But don't worry Bears fans Ted's input will save us from these kind of mistakes.
  14. This season is probably the worst possible outcome for UM. Had Ohio St. not had ( for them ) a down year they would have stomped UM like usual. Michigan could then have moved on to a new coach since Harbut would then have been 0 for ever against Ohio St. With UM's Alumni base and the new NIL they can pay as much as the SEC for players. With a new coach who would recruit AND develop QB's they could actually compete against the elite teams. For example this Georgia team with a problem in the secondary. Now however UM is stuck with Harbut. Beating Ohio St. this year and making the Semi has probably bought him at least 3-4 more years of winning 10 and being blasted by the Buckeyes.
  15. Silly me .... I didn't realize that the group of 5 team was playing Georgia in the second game ... I thought they were playing Alabama in the first game. Still trying to figure out what made people think UM had a chance. :nono:
  16. Hell of a shot. I love it when my second favorite team ( any team that is playing Purdue ) wins.
  17. God, they haven't won in Wisconsin since I was in college. SMH Was watching and kept thinking why is Woodson leaving Johnson in there to throw up bad shot after bad shot instead of feeding Jackson-Davis? Didn't make sense and clearly cost them the game. Perhaps Woodson should have Coach Norman Dale come to practice and start demanding four passes before anyone shoots.
  18. 1998 Frustrating thing is this team should be undefeated. 27 turnovers at the cuse and this game they just stood around during the second half and watched XJ take to many stupid drives to the basket. Thankfully they have a PG coming in next year. At least the defense is better then it was under Miller.
  19. I think Michigan and whoever the 4 seed is gets absolutely throttled in the playoffs vs Georgia and Bama. The BIG sucks this year and Iowa really sucks. We’re getting a Bama-Georgia championship. I’d be pretty shocked if Bama and Georgia aren’t 2 point favorites in their first round games. Michigan's strength is running the ball. They won't be able to do that against Georgia. Georgia 30+ to 6. Georgia has better coaches and better players. Georgia's strength on defense will suffocate Michigan.
  20. Spartan fans everywhere are excited about that great choice So basically after Alabama and Georgia slaughter two of ND, UM or CIN we get to see if Georgia's secondary can learn how to play football after a month of practice.
  21. Keeping Jimmy Graham on the roster makes so much sense now.
  22. Georgia is done.
  23. They should just go back to the old way. Classical time controls only. Some amount of games 12 to 24. I think 18 to 24 is best. Draw leaves the title with the current champion. It is up to the challenger to prove he/she is better and score at least one extra point.
  24. If they want a better chance to win a championship, they should join a conference. Like, for reals this time. If they joined the big 10 with a condition being that they get put in the west, they'd have a good shot to be in the title game nearly every year. I know, I know...traditions, blah blah blah. Notre Dame beat two of the best 3 teams in the B1G West this very year and would be locked into the playoff right now if they hadn't turned the ball over 3 times against Cincinnati. They have a top-10 recruiting class (for now) for next year and the start of what could be an even better one the year after. "Just join a conference" is easy to say but it really has nothing to do with anything at this point and it certainly wouldn't have changed anything about the first 2 sentences I wrote. I also cannot believe after the crap we've seen in college football the past decade and especially the past few months that people still think conference affiliation means anything at all. We are closer to a world where Ohio State and USC and Alabama start asking themselves why they're sharing money with the likes of Purdue and Oregon State and Vanderbilt than we are to one where anyone cares about the Big Ten or the Pac-12 or whoever else. Notre Dame's record is a fraud like usual. Their garbage schedule this year was highlighted by a loss to Cincinnati and wins against Purdue 8-4, Wisconsin 8-4 and Toledo 7-5. All other teams were .500 or worse. Had they managed to beat Cincinnati they would have been granted the opportunity to get curb stomped by a real team in the playoff.
  25. helps to play a bad team should be 17-14 lions ... maybe even 21-14.
