  3. I ain't accusing you of anything, but what did Patterson, Jacque Jones and Bradley all have in common? Who are 3 people who have never been in my kitchen?
  4. There's magic in the ivy and the old scoreboard The same one I stared at as a kid keeping score In a world full of greed, I could never want more Than someday we'll go all the way Granted, it doesn't flow perfectly, but the next line finishes the sentence. How is that a sentence? Yeah, that makes it even more nonsensical. If he said "than to someday go all the way," OK, but "in a world full of greed, I could never want more than someday we'll go all the way" is a "sentence" that even makes hccf cry foul. I read it as "someday we'll go all the way" as being the thing he wanted. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the writing, was simply making sure the verse was complete.

  10. Decent deal for the Hawks. Well, he is an UFA, so that remains to be seen.

  15. weather.com lists sunset in Vancouver for 9:20 tonight. The game started around 5:15 for them.
  16. Which idea/proposal has anything close to that?
  17. Probably Deng or Noah. Deng would work salary-wise. Noah is probably who GS would want. He'd be a great fit for them. After July 1st, Noah matches up salary-wise. No he'll be BYC so his outgoing salary is only worth 50% of his incoming salary for GS. Essentially you'd need a package deal. Of course any rule existing now is subject to change with a new CBA. Help me out, what's BYC? Base year compensation From wiki: Certain players in the first few months of a new contract are subject to base year compensation (BYC). The intent of BYC is to prevent teams from re-signing players to salaries specifically targeted to match other salaries in a trade (in other words, salary should be based on basketball value, not trade value). A BYC player's trade value as outgoing salary is 50% of his new salary, or his previous salary, whichever is greater. BYC applies only to players who re-sign with their previous team and receive a raise greater than 20%. It also applies only when (and as long as) the team is over the salary cap.

  19. They could, my point is they probably don't want to in that case. My math is probably wrong, but at 3% inflation, I have 9/35 being only 12 million(edit: a calculator tells me 17, but the point is still made) more in 2012 dollars than 10/30. Pay much more of that up front and you're eliminating the reason to go to a 10th year. Especially since we aren't going to want 42 year old Pujols at even one third that price. Correct me if I am misunderstanding, but are you advocating that entering the 2021 season (theoretical year 10) you would rather have your hands completely washed of Pujols, rather than have him (for free) AND 12 (17, whatever number people agree to) million in your pocket?
