  1. Anybody know if people in Chicago will be able to see the ESPN feed or will it be blacked out?

  3. #1bearsfan's comment with all the Cubs spelled as Cub's makes me feel a lot more annoyed and pissed than it probably should...wow.
  4. That's hilarious. Never heard anyone make a play off the Angels' name before. Yeah, the whole "lets add forty-thousand different locations near LA onto the name because it's funny" thing needs to stop.
  5. He seriously tried to say that the D-Backs are a bad team and that the Angels are the best team either team faced during the last week....wow. So according to him beating the D-Backs only proves we can beat bad teams, but if we can beat a real team like the Houston Astros, then that will prove something. And this crap that the Giants and Pirates are about equal opponents? Wow. The Giants are probably the worst team in baseball, the Pirates are actually quite good when they aren't playing the Cubs. How does a guy like this get a freakin job as a sports writer? That's awful.
  6. Ramirez, Lee, Soto, Soriano, Fukudome. My ballot is filled out like this: AL C. V. Martinez 1B. J. Morneau 2B. I. Kinsler 3B. M. Cabrera SS. D. Jeter LF. M. Ramirez CF. J. Hamilton RF. M. Bradley DH. D. Ortiz NL C. G. Soto 1B. D. Lee 2B. D. Uggla 3B. A. Ramirez SS. H. Ramirez LF. A. Soriano CF. N. McLouth RF. K. Fukudome
  7. At least the Brewers are losing. Ned Yost can't possibly have a job for much longer. Therein lies the downside. I'm hoping the Brewers can win a couple series in a row to prolong the Yost regime... Him being there for the remainder of the season (in conjunction w/ the loss of Gallardo & the inevitable Sheets injury) would pretty much guarantee that the Brewers won't be in the hunt come September. Not me. I want the Brewers to lose every game not played against the Cardinals or Astros. The sooner they bury the season, the better. Everytime I think about how the Brewers might be out of it already, I remember that we were an impressive 9 games below .500 a little further in the season than now, and we won the division last year. And their team is probably more talented than our team from last year. (Still no Gallardo is a problem for them) The difference is our team last year was chasing a .500 ball club. This Cubs team blows the 2007 Brewers out of the water, it's not the same thing. I am confident that this team will be well ahead of the pack at the end of 162. Winning the division by 10 games isn't an unrealistic prediction.
  8. No....no....he isn't real, my head can't take this much ownage.
  9. Theriot is kinda good, I'm starting to have no choice but to admit it. In a couple weeks it will be June and he's in the top 10 in the NL average and still getting on base above a .400 clip.
  10. That's an impostor Geovany doesn't allow passed balls to happen.
  11. 2007 Gorzo vs. the Cubs 19.2 IP, 24 hits, 8 ER, 6 BB, 15 K, 1.53 WHIP (includes two 7 inning outings, giving up 1 ER on 6 hits) 2006 Gorzo vs. the Cubs 8 IP, 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 BB, 7 SO, 0.50 WHIP 2006 Cubs - awful team 2007 Cubs - decent team 2008 Cubs - title contender It's not that surprising
  12. THE ROSTER ONLY HAS ROOM FOR ONE CRAPPY EX-CARDINAL!
  13. Have we gotten to the point where we shouldn't be surprised that Dempster is pitching well? And an even bigger question, have we gotten to the point where Ryan Dempster can be considered a good starting pitcher?
  14. Sweetpeteman get the next thread going!!!
  15. stop it, and if your going to keep doing it, dont use the bright "im a moron" colored green...and stop adding to the list of reasons to put you on ignore
  16. As long as he sucks the ball out of the park, he can suck all he wants. Well it was from the most sarcastic post I have ever written in my entire life, I actually like Soriano quite a lot.
  17. that looked like a lower version of Fonzi's walk off hit vs Col last year
  18. As I said the other day, Soriano has always sucked and he always will suck.
