  1. Wow, the kid gives up one home run so let's give up on him. I am not that angry, people have to adjust to the major leagues, Christ, can we cut him a little slack? He made a young mistake on an 0-2 pitch. If this were Marquis this mistake would be unacceptable and he would deserve the criticism, but this is a young kid learning how to pitch in the bigs, so seriously chill out. We will never get the full potential of our guys if we quit on them after a couple mistakes (anybody remember that Felix Pie kid, what a joke, Edmonds? Really? Wow), let the kid flippin pitch through them. Also, if you want to send him down, who the hell do you say we should let have the spot? None of the alternatives are going to be any better in the immediate future, and down the line Sean will benefit from the experience and be miles better from going through this. If we can have Gallagher pitching like he could by the stretch run, it will be worth it. Think about it, Dempster is probably not going to keep this up and if he starts getting tagged (which could happen because everything usually averages out in the end) we will be able to have a rotation like this: Zambrano Lilly Gallagher Hill Marshall Maybe you guys don't agree, but to me that seems like the 5 best starting pitchers in the organization, and then we could add another stud at the deadline and have: Zambrano Stud Guy Lilly Hill Gallagher/Marshall It's sure better than flippin (below), which would be the solution Lou would likely go with. Zambrano Lilly Dempster Marquis Lieber/Marshall/Hart
  2. LOL before the season began I traded J.R. Towles, Delmon Young, and Clay Buchholz for Geovany Soto, Ken Griffey Jr. and Tim Hudson. I later dropped Griffey for Edinson Volquez right before Edinson's first start and right after Cueto dominated. So in the end I basically got Soto, Hudson, and Volquez for Towles, Young, and Buchholz....robbery.

  4. I hope all of Valverde's veins explode during his stupid celebration and he's out for the year.
  5. !!! x10 Eh, he's worse than Z, but not by much. But he's our psycho so we love him.
  6. Soto should knock CB's head straight off with his bat.
  7. lol, I love rippin on Edmonds. If he's playing well I'll like him, but if he blows (which he has so far and probably will continue to do) I will enjoy making fun of him.

  11. I don't think he quite has Marmol's stuff. But his change is better than Marmol's. I just think a pen of (below) could be downright filthy. Wood Marmol Wuertz Howry Ascanio Eyre Lieber A shut down "closer" (I hate the closer position, it's stupid) A dominant reliever 3 very good middle relievers 1 good "loogy" who actually is a pretty good reliever in general, so I guess 4 very good middle relievers A good long man
  12. I know he just gave up a hit, but he looks similar in style to Marmol and they could both be shut down relievers. Could Ascanio be Marmol light?
  13. Seriously, your sig is HUGE. Cubbies75 is at least twice as tall as mine...yours is taller than mine...? you just changed it, before tho it was HUGE. No it actually wasn't. It's been the same for at least a few days.
  14. ARE YOU NUTS? We'll be lucky to not get swept by AZ... I'll consider us very lucky to just take one game, certainly. It's probably sweep city the way this club is playing. TysonCBulls423 for Prez
  15. Edinson Volquez reminds me a lot of Marmol. When I see Volquez it makes me think that we could have that if we made Marmol a starter.
  16. Air-Uh-Miss Ramirez lol its Ah-rah-mis Ramirez
  17. K, please go back to our game now, I hate the Red Sox so much.
  18. I like anybody who plays for the Cubs (unless he's terrible, ex. Izturis), I find it pointless to be mad because he used to play for the Cardinals. Fact is, he's on the Cubs so I'm gonna like him. He's one of us now, and his goal is to give us all what Cubs' fans have been waiting 100 freakin years for. I like Jim Edmonds. There, I said it.
  19. God those catches are a lot more enjoyable when he's on our side.
  20. It was an out of the park home run, but the umps didn't call it but he got all the way around anyway.
  21. GEOVANY FREAKING SOTO, INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN!
