I'm starting to believe Wood is going to fully recover from the surgery and he should be exciting to watch this year. Is anyone else worried that Miller is not going to return to form? I've seen alot of articles that mentioned that he threw so many pitches or that he was on schedule to join the team in May, but nothing so far has said how he is throwing. 1) Please, make it happen. I want him to be a Cub for a long time and the only way that's happening is with a 2003 Wood performance this year 2) If he sucks, he sucks, Hendry got him for next to nothing.

I LOOOOVE this plays when the Cubs play will/win big games in the clutch.

On the post game show, Dusty's reasoning for pulling Marshall is that the most he pitched in ST was 4 innings. Plus he was a rookie, with the bases looaded, in a tense game, with Poo-holes on deck. All in all, I wasn't upset with the pull. Dusty's move must have given Wuertz confidence despite the outcome, because he pitched well, despite the runs scoring. Albert's gonna get hits like that. He's a great hitter.

With PART of the offseason? Yes Rusch, Neif were awful signings, we'll see about Jones - but still a bad contract. But securing this Bullpen first, might have been a brilliant move. I guess we'll find out down the stretch - but it could be just what we needed.

We have a day off tomorrow... shouldn't be a big deal. Anyway, did anyone thing the crowd reaction/tension in this game/energy makes this feel like a playoff game in April? That reaction to the Granny is reminicent of the crowd when Woody hit a HR in game 7, though obviously not QUITE as raucous. It just feels like a playoff game to me.

That series in 2003 was pretty sweet - don't forget about THAT. :wink: Refresh my memory? when we won 4 out 5 I believe and never looked back, took the wild card, people were pegged, larussa and dusty screaming at each other from the dug outs in the middle of this wild card race.... right, except we won the division doh. duh. stupid me. :oops:

I don't weurtz in the game right now in crucial division games that are close. I've had little to no objection as to how Dusty has used the pen through 5 games, other than pitching eyre 37. But even then we had a day off the next day.
