He wasn't even close to 92-93 with his two-seamer. He wasn throwing anywhere from the mid 80's to 90. Topped 90 with his four-seamer a few times. Didn't throw his slider much at all. But I would rather have Z go 6 innings and give up one run throwing at that speed that throwing 95 and getting taged. With this start is it about impossible for Z to win Cy Young? You gotta have wins to ge the Cy Young right? It is April 19th and you are trying to give out the Cy Young already??? You do know the season goes all the way through September right? Who cares about the stupid award anyways, I want to worry about seeing the White Flag. A good or bad year for Z is most likely a good or bad year for the Cubs True, but not having a cy young does not mean Z couldn't end up with a great year, let alone a good year.

Z Throws more effectively when he's throwing 92-93 with his fastball. Much more movement. When he gets amped up and throws 97 the ball goes pretty straight - something he wants to avoid.

The Cubs aren't necessarily known for strong finishes though. True, but it's not the logo that competes on the field. There are a lot of new faces, new bullpen guys (which has been one of our downfalls in the past), so I don't think you can generalize off of previous years, just because it's a Cubs team. This one could finish quite differently than the others.

Calm down, it's ok. It's only April. We don't "Need" anything right now, but yes it would be nice to take 2/3. A game in April is just as important as a game in September. Yeah, you can go on winning streaks, but you'll never be able to remove a game from your loss column that took place in April. I understand that, but if you lose in april you can make it up later. If you lose later on, you have less games to make up that loss.

Why you doggin on Ohman? He was lights out all last year. He had one bad outing last time. I could be mistaken, but I don't think he's been that great since he came back from the injury. Your mistaken. Ohman's been great out of the pen. His ERA is 27.00 including today and the first game of this series. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: This one takes the cake. :roll:
