  1. Just wait until you see the look on his face when Walker is at first for 2 months. *gulp*
  2. pushed back to Friday now? too much swelling? :?
  3. I just read through, no update yet. Anyone listening to the radio?
  4. Dusty was his usual idiotic self for putting Aardsma into a high pressure situation in a tie game for his first outing. Never should have happened when we had Howry, Eyre, and Williamson.
  5. I blame the signing of Neifi, which precluded the necessity of the signing of Furcal, who bowled over Lee. I hope someone earholes Furcal next time we play him. Any word on Lee's MRI yet?
  6. It was that way until the Neifi defenders tried to change the tone. Nice. You are a guy, IIRC, who (rightfully) criticizes posters for generalizing or labeling others as "moneyballers". Way to fight fire with fire. PWNED.
  7. It was that way until the Neifi defenders tried to change the tone. Now we have finger pointing? I think the old adage when you point at someone 3 fingers are pointing back at you should be busted out on Goony.
  8. It was that way until the Neifi defenders tried to change the tone. Whatever. That's about as disingenious as it gets, but it doesn't surprise me that you would say it. What a joke. All the chicken littling about Neifi starting 39909320 games now, and freaking out about it changed the tone. The Dude (first person to defend Neifi) came in and merely said that Neifi probably wouldn't be starting because of Mabry and then others including YOU went off on how bad Neifi sucks (which he does). Regardless you played just as big a role in the sidetracking of this tread as The Dude, the Neifi chicken littlers, and myself played. Of course you'll never admit it.
  9. This statement is absoulte and untrue. A correct statement would be: The truth is he really does suck, and often hurts the team offensively when he plays.
  10. Pre-emptive and usually wrong? Um, maybe you didn't notice, but Dusty's first choice was to insert Neifi into the lineup. You do realize that inserting Neifi last night resulted in a GREAT stop on what would have been a single with either Walker or Hairston, that saved a run and let us get out of the inning down 2. I think Neifi sucks, but I think what the "The Dude" is getting at is the unbridled hatred towards Neifi that implicates, even when he doesn't deserve to be implicated, and the props he deserves when he contributes like he did last night. I realize this is because of Dusty's perpetual hard-on for Neifmeister, but that isn't Neifi's fault.
  11. Pre-emptive and usually wrong? Um, maybe you didn't notice, but Dusty's first choice was to insert Neifi into the lineup. He's used Neifi as his go to guy before in tight spots, and clearly has an affinity for Neifi. Anybody expressing concern about Neifi getting more playing time due to this is absolutely justified. Has it ever been pointed out here that Neifi is making a serious run at the title of worst hitter in the history of baseball? Substituting Neifi for anyone in your lineup is a bad thing, substituting Neifi for Lee is worthy of crying. Only about 300,000,000,000 times. It's should also be noted an equal amount of times that Neifi is responsible for terrorism, slavery back in the 19th century, genocide in Africa, global warming, and the loss of every species that is now extinct. Stupid Neifi.
  12. I liked Oscar and the Cubs pitchers REALLY did. Sad day. :(
  13. Well at least we play in the piss-poor NL Central.
  14. please don't use that kind of language here. I know it is an acronym, but I still don't like it. I think people shouldn't say WTF either to stay true to the family oriented site.
  15. More like Ronny Cedeno saved us. I heart Ronny. As much as I don't like neifi his defensive play in the 7th followed by getting on in the 8th also saved us.
  16. I didn't see it. Wishful thinking or honest opinion? A little bit of both. Lee really wanted to stay in the game. It took several minutes before they made the decision to pull him. If it was real bad, he would have been out of the game right away and headed for X-rays. Eyre, on the other hand, had some serious discomfort going on. I'm guessing groin strain, but it could be his back. Vin Scully said it was his knee. (landing on it - maybe a bruised knee or something).
  17. Can someone who saw it please explain what happened to Lee and Eyre? Michael Moore lookalike went on a murderous rampage, hopefully insurance will help us out and the money to their families won't go on the payroll. I don't get it. :?
