  1. Basically don't let Willingham or Cabrera beat you Z.
  2. I don't think I need to even watch the game. Just show me Erin Andrews (preferably naked or in a slutty outfit) all night long and I'd make do.
  3. Holy Jebus does Erin Andrews get hotter everytime she's on TV?
  4. So has anyone heard if his session yesterday went well?
  5. So all that crap about none of them being back until June was just that... Crap?
  6. Does anyone know how his Sunday throwing session went (Woody's)?
  7. I've found it pretty funny that the Brilliant Bobby Cox just pulled his closer and brought in Remlinger to face a lefty in Nick Johnson pulling the proverbial "Dusty Bakerism" and misusing Remlinger based on his splits - but he got away with it.
  8. If this is true, I'm excited to see what this kid can do for us. I've been hearing about this kid for three friggin years - I am PSYCHED to see what he can do at the MLB level. I just hope that if he tears it up, they won't immediately ship him out for Doug Mientkewicz or some other scrub that can't help us near as good as a strong and healthy Guzman. I doubt it. Hendry has to keep an eye to the 2007 rotation with the possibility of, at least, 2/ 5 of this year's anticipated starters nolonger being with the club. The Cubs will need some quality arms. If Guzman pitches well I think he'll start for the Cubs next year. 2007: Wood Prior Maddux Zambrano Guzman  Substitute Marshall for Wood, and you'd have a nice rotation. I think JH may pass on Kerry after this season. No Wood on the Cubs would make me very sad. :?
  9. If this is true, I'm excited to see what this kid can do for us.
  10. Pierre Cedeno Walker Aramis Barrett Murton Jones Hairston Pitcher That's what the order should be everyday until Lee comes back (give or take resting a few guys every so often). Murton's struggling let him hit in the 6th spot for now.
  11. Pot meet TLR. Indeed. Tony and hypocrisy go way back together. I can only imagine how he would've reacted had Maddux plunked Edmonds, knowing his past history with intentional HBP's. No real point in Maddux doing it. Now if only Novoa/Big Z or someone with a 95+ MPH fast ball plunked him in the ribs, that would be just swell.
  12. You use the first when you like the player, and you use the second when you don't.
  13. FWIW, I made a thread bout this because I just overlooked this existing thread. (You can lock mine up Jon). From Sunday's Chicagocubs.com: Seems more promising but I think we're all desperate to get these pitchers back. We can hang in there with good pitching as Maddux showed today.
  14. I'd rather keep Pierre, get rid of Jones somehow after this year and move Pie to RF.

  16. It's the truth. And those are fighting words. Maybe what this Cubs team needs is a little anger from a guy like Barrett.
  17. I'd put Ramirez and Barrett ahead of Murton in terms of our "best hitters", but your point is still made.
  18. He's still got his consecutive save streak which is MUCH more important than a scoreless streak.
  19. I don't think he's pitched in a couple days since wedensday. He's gotta get work to stay fresh. I don' thave a problem with this at all.
  20. I'm sorry if this wasn't you, but were you the one saying that Ronny is crap a couple weeks ago? Just trying to remember. your memory is correct...
  21. Yes he has - in 2000. Hmm, I heard that on WGN radio so I took their word for it. Maybe they meant he has never won 4 straight games to start the season. I'm not sure about this but maybe there were some no decisions in 2000. Len said he won his first 4 starts in 2000.....
  22. Yes he has - in 2000. Hmm, I heard that on WGN radio so I took their word for it. Len mentioned earlier in this game that the last time Maddux won his first four starts was in 2000 with the Braves. Not sure who is right.
