    And this would accomplish... a right-handed hitter that could come off the bench and hit the ball out of the infield. a 3b/1b backup, which the cubs feel they need. so a couple things, i guess. Can he still play the OF adequately enough to spell Soriano/Bradley if we needed him to?

    He still slugged .498 in 06 in TB and .459 in 07 in TB and HOU. He's not a huge power threat, but he'd be better than anyone we will have on the bench this year. And Wrigley was more of an offensive park than MMP last year.

    I don't understand the fear of losing to KSU. They got taken to OT by Colorado, who is probably the worst BCS conference team this year. We lost to Nebraska. We'll probably lose at Ames too. It's just the fear that comes with being a Mizzou fan.

    I'm glad Missouri isn't ranked because then I'd be 100% certain we'd lose at Kansas State Wednesday. Since we're not, I'm only 80% certain we're going to lose.

    Mizzou up 10 on Okie State at half. This just feels like a game we'll lose though. We had a chance to twist the knife early but we let them hang around. This would be a nice win though if we hang on.

    Pinkel has done such a nice job of regaining control of STL and KC over the past year or two, so I'm not thrilled about the possibility of another big program coming in.

    I'm actually with Meph re: Kosuke. I have to think he'll improve. Also, LOL at this sentence: "I’d think about batting him second if he would cut down on the strikeouts and go back to being an MVP candidate" If Lee goes back to being an MVP candidate you're not going to hit him 6th or 2nd.

    That hit last night McGahee was not a helmet hit. Though the Steeler's give out a lot of cheap hits that was a hard hit that looked like it could have been helmet to helmet, but Clark led with his shoulder If he led with his shoulder how come his head made the first contact

    If Andy Reid leaves then yes but McNabb is Reid's guy. I don't see them divorcing anytime soon. I thought McNabb and Reid hated each other? Either way, I don't want McNabb. I've never heard that Reid and McNabb hated each other. Not saying it isn't true, just never heard it. With that said, if the Bears are interested in McNabb---at this point, we don't know if they are, or Philly is interested in letting him go---they better draft a young QB in the 2nd/3rd to be his replacement in 3 yrs. Oh, for some reason I was under the assumption that they didn't really like each other over the past few years. I might've made that up.
