  2. Deadspin's collective hatred of all things Cardinals is a joy. This simple description perhaps put it best: They are one of the few outlets that see the Cardinals for the sanctimonious sham that they are and are willing to point it out. Which brings me to another gripe: Cards fans whining about the media attention the Cubs are getting. Are they [expletive] serious? Or has the decade plus of their team being ceaselessly deep throated by the collective baseball media and held up as the paragon of the baseball universe deluded them so much that they think that any deviation from that status quo is "hating" on them and paying undue credit to another team? GTFO with that, Cards fans. Get directly the [expletive] out, you over privileged twats.
  3. Yeah, he adds a bit of offense, but significantly reduces my fear of getting shut down by Lackey, which is already lowered by him starting on short rest for the first time in forever.
  4. Richard would be my first guess, unless the unlikely happens and Hammel goes deep into the game.
  5. Indeed, there will be a cataclysmic dong barrage, a savage onslaught that lays the enemy to waste and heralds the end of their tyrannical, blood magic fueled reign.
  6. Yeah, if I were Matheny, I'd go with another starter plus the bullpen tomorrow versus Hammel, knowing Lester is waiting in game five. Of course, they may want to maximize their chances in game four, and hope for some hometown magic in game five. Either way, it's far less than ideal. They're not in a good spot.
  7. Especially considering Lackey's ERA is a full 2 runs higher on the road, now coupled with short rest. If I'm Matheny I try my best to win a Hammel vs Lynn slugfest and get to G5 with Lackey at home on normal rest. Now if it goes to G5 the Cubs probably get Garcia who they've already beat up once. They're desperate, no doubt about it. Their "historic" staff is a shambles right now. Lackey is the only one with a decent chance of avoiding being smacked around.
  8. Just got home and was able to actually witness the cavalcade of dongs. Glorious. Wish Jake would have been better, but the barrage eased the pain.
  9. On my home computer I have a gif of Ramsay Bolton waving a sausage for just such a glorious occasion, but alas I have been stuck at work. Yes. It should have been used after every dong to taunt Cards fans.

  11. Man, I had so many gifs for all this, but I'm stuck at work. And I'm pretty sure my co-workers think I'm bipolar now.
  12. Ugh, having to deal with this [expletive] while I am working sucks.
  13. This is delicious. I still harbor residual hate for the Astros' fans from the killer B's days of fairweather turnout and piped in buzzing. They deserve this.
  14. Busch Stadium curtain call Cards fans always demanding those curtain calls
  15. Say bye to your fans until next year, deadbirds.
  16. No need to throw this guy hittable pitches
  17. Good news: the lineup after Heyward is poopy
  18. Dammit [expletive] [expletive] cheap ass hit
  19. Me too, though that'll pass quickly if Rondon comes out pumping strikes.
  20. Close to it. It's not just the plays, it the uberdouche presentation.
