  1. Kosuke would look really good there. I agree 100%. And I would even hit Lee second and Ramirez third probably. Fukudome DeRosa Lee Soriano Ramirez Soto Pie Theriot
  2. Pat and Ron are talking like Blanco missed the sign. For the entire at-bat? Like I said, Lou looked like he was pissed at Blanco afterward.
  3. Pat and Ron are talking like Blanco missed the sign. The way Lou looked in the dugout afterwards leads me to believe it wasn't his doing.
  4. Gotta rest the man sometime. I agree, you need to rest Reed Johnson sometime. This only confirm my suspicion that there's a Chuck Norris-ish cult forming around Soto. Suspicion? Not that there's anything wrong with it.
  5. Gotta rest the man sometime. I agree, you need to rest Reed Johnson sometime. I'm all for Pie playing, but Johnson has been far from bad.
  6. Unless everyone starts swinging at first pitches now that they're behind.
  7. True, I didn't really expect the Cubs to sweep, but I thought they'd have lost game 1.
  8. As well as Lee has been hitting, he probably figured Derrek would put the bat on the ball.
  9. Pitching against a Dusty Baker-led team has a tendency to do that. Too bad we don't have any soft-tossing lefties. They'd have thrown 27 consecutive scoreless innings in this series! Isn't Lilly kind of a soft tossing lefty? He has been so far.
  10. I never get more than a few weeks before it itches for a minute and I have to lose it.
  11. Looks like Dusty hasn't completely fine tuned his "give up" lineup yet. All he needs to do is replace Griffey with Hatteberg or something and then it looks good. Remember Dusty forfeit lineups often times lead to inexplicable offensive outbursts. Especially with the wind blowing out and Lilly on the mound.
  12. Nevermind the 59 stolen bases. Nevermind that he got caught 23 times in 82 attempts, making his running a net loss for the offense. If your steal rate is less than 80% (Pods' was 71%), you are hurting your team. And it's not like his OBP (.351) was anything special. Like it has been said, the "Sox won with small ball in 2005" thing is a total myth. Homers and career years from the rotation, that's it.
  13. IMO there is about a 0.001% chance of Crede coming close to maintaining his current level of play. This is the very definition of "time to sell high".
  14. Vlad's body is beginning to fail him. I don't like his prospects 3-4 years from now at all.
  15. STOP FEEDING THE TROLL
  16. And I understand being down when your team loses, but their broadcast team sound like totally broken men. I almost expected to hear them commit suicide on the air.
  17. He's hit the ball pretty well tonight, just right at people.
  18. The Brewers wouldn't trade anyone to make room, especially Braun or Fielder. If need be, they would move Hart to CF and Braun to RF. That would end up being the worst defensive OF in the majors. but quite possibly the best offensive OF in the majors. With the net result probably being slightly above average. defense is not THAT important. No, but a OF of Braun/Hart/LaPorta could be prodigiously bad. It would give up quite a few runs. If they could get close to equal value in pitching via trade, that would be the way to go, IMO.

That would end up being the worst defensive OF in the majors. but quite possibly the best offensive OF in the majors. With the net result probably being slightly above average. They'd be better off trading for some pitching.
