    Leiter’s a heart attack. I know he’s got stuff. Merryweather wasn’t found in a dumpster. He was found in Toronto. I’m splitting hairs a little there.

    So apparently the Crew found Koenig in the baseball equivalent of a dumpster. Upper 90’s FB, wicked off speed pitch. Would be nice if the Cubs could turn garbage into gold every once in a while.

    Swanson needs to become incredibly expensive bench player.

    Get Brown in the bullpen and anchor every high leverage situation possible around him.

    Would be super nice to see Busch make the counter adjustment.

    Definitely expecting to see the “no hit” banner show up on this one in about an hour.

    I’m not so sure. They can’t score, and can’t stop the other team once it’s bullpen time. Steele just pitched lights out today.

    Agreed. It’s the same team including the horrible pen.

    It doesn’t take a fortune to put together a decent bullpen. Jed failed at it this year, and last year. I’m ready to move on.

    The bullpen is crap and it won’t get better. It’s not a crapshoot. They suck. Counsell has a long term record of success as a manager and Jed doesn’t as a GM.
