  1. Pitch well. Then give up a few baserunners, freak out, start giving up runs. It's an old story.
  2. Now I am unhappy. I think I'm going to need some booze.
  3. Only works for me if you get Ludwick. Nope.
  4. When the bases are loaded, everyone is anxious to get the big hit, and the patience dissolves. Although that was a very good AB from Lee.
  5. But they can't. It's a weakness of this lineup, it reared its ugly head in the playoffs last year, and it continues in '09.
  6. Fuku continues to try mightily to be a contributer, and it is appreciated.
  7. Yeah, I think we saw last night the value of having Havlat on the team. He was supposed to be a vet who would do something like this, when it really counted. It was so great to see him come through last night.
  8. It's just really good to see Havlat paying the dividends we were hoping he'd pay when we signed him up a long time ago. There were times when I wondered if he was ever going to get out from under injuries to contribute. Not anymore.
  9. In the late 1990s/early 2000s, yes. Absolutely. But now, the way the rules are, you actually have to impact the goalie's ability to make the save. I don't think that happened. Keenan argued it, and I would too if I were in his shoes. But the shot went to the opposite side and Kiprusoff was not impeded by Ladd at all in leaking like a sieve. As for Camallieri's antics, it was called. 2-minute minor. The call was high-sticking, so clearly the refs didn't actually see what happens. He needs to be suspended for that. I think 2-3 games is appropriate, at least. It was clearly dirty and a clear intent to injure. I'm all for hard, physical, even edgy play. But sucker punches? No. If Havlat wouldn't gotten seriously hurt, Camallieri would be done for the year and probably then some. Absolutely gotta love how Havlat didn't let that get to him, and goes on to get the game winner in OT. In your face Camallieri :yahoo:
  10. He only calls half the game. I agree his voice is confident and he gives you good information about the offense. Seldom a comment about anything on D though. I'd like him better paired with someone for balance. Not on his own with a play-by-play though. To Collinsworth, the game is all about white, shiny offenses who, if they do everything right, cannot fail against defenses that barely deserve to grace the same field.
  11. Good choice. I agree, Collinsworth is good. I'll miss Madden, though. I enjoyed him in the booth. Ugh, I don't like Collinsworth.
  12. Agreed. Even when the Bulls were playing defense, they only made it past the first rd once and that was because the Heat was pretty much depleted. So it's debateable as to which Bulls team is better: the team that played defense or the team that has allowed Thomas/Noah and Rose to developed. To be honest every yr Noah and Thomas gets more and mor comfortable with their games, the better the Bulls will be defensively. I'd rather sell high on guys like that, use them to pull in a real star player like Bosch. Let Toronto worry about developing Tyrus further, we need a star counterpart to Rose to contend.
  13. This sucks, man. The Cards just beat us, man. I'm depressed now, man.

  15. Sportscenter analysts will just ignore the call, or call it the wrong way, and all the sheep will nod their heads in agreement...
  16. he did nothing wrong, but based on his reputation i agree. He bumped him and the ump was still saying something as Bradley walked off that seemed to be, "This ain't over." Also, his reputation won't help. If he bumped him it's a suspension.
