  1. He plays well with quick short passing but that’s only going to carry us so far.
  2. This is difficult to watch. With this kind of field position and no points. All the weapons we thought we acquired. Nothing.
  3. What the eff was that?
  4. Yeah there’s a clear path to step up and he tries to spin out backwards instead. Frustrating to watch.
  5. Thoroughly unimpressive
  6. Would it though? I have doubts about that.
  7. It’s Poles’ career; if he wants to play games keeping an obviously inferior coach in charge of developing a franchise QB it’s his neck on the block. It’s not fun watching another implosion but we are almost 20 years removed from the last genuinely good Bears team so what’s another decade? Eberflus will not be the Bears’ long term coach. He’s already got failure written all over him. Keeping him around is career suicide for Poles, but if I’m wrong I’ll gladly eat crow. I don’t think I am.

    NFL WEEK 10

Plus this is different than the KC game. Ravens still had time and 2 timeouts. There was no guarantee they would have won even if they got the 2-pt conversion. I think in this case they should have just tied it.
  9. I think HC and OC are hampering Caleb’s progress and that simply cannot be allowed to continue. Too much is at stake.
  10. And no Kmet. Zero targets. Struggling QB with bad protection and one of the prime players who could help isn’t utilized.
  11. Isn’t that just last week though? Still doesn’t make it smart
  12. Yep, and I admit I was upset the Bears didn’t seem interested in him.
  13. For me, only a solid showing against our division foes can quiet the calamity. 3-3, a win against GB has to be one of them. That’s a tall order even if the Bears hadn’t imploded these past two weeks.
  14. Poles effed it up. I remember more than a few people thought he shouldn’t have been given the reins to a true #1 QB pick. He chose to double down on Flus and it’s blown up in his face. I don’t think it looks good no matter what. But I’d be for ripping the band aid off now rather than watching a wounded animal for 2 more months, flopping around aimlessly.
  15. They should fire Flus. Yes, mid season. This was a bad judgment call by Poles and he needs to acknowledge that and take action. Not wait as the team rots from the inside out. Teams do this. Saints just did it. It’s a thing.
  16. It didn’t look like an injury to me although obviously I don’t know.
  17. I see nothing about Waldron that is more than “meh.” It’s OK to be critical of a guy because he isn’t standing out from the pack. It shouldn’t even be an argument. He should be impressive and it should be obvious.
  18. LOL of all people to say a coach is doing the right things.
  19. I'm dating myself but I remember Neil "they sent the wrong Armstrong to the Moon."
  20. I'm having trouble getting past the Hail Mary and the play before it. The rest of the game? Bears were bad. They can look at all that stuff and work on it. I'm sure they will. Not the final sequence though. Flus (or his DC) calls the defense way off the ball and hands them the yardage to get in position. That's coach stupidity. You don't really fix that other than replacing the coach which won't happen this year. And a player taunting fans instead of looking at the snap. That's a guy who doesn't have his head on straight. Maybe you fix that for a little while but if it's in his nature it will surely come out again. To me it's just one more damning indication that Flus and his regime is weak sauce. We're playing games with what should be the dawning of the Williams era, several playoff seasons and a winning franchise.
  21. And did he have this problem at USC? It seems like he might have, but looked better his final season. I don't really know. Found this in an LA Times article: But Williams is the nation’s most efficient passer, especially after improving his accuracy on passes in the intermediate and deep range. Williams has completed 81.8% of his passes between 10 and 19 yards this season, according to Pro Football Focus, a jump from 55.7% last year. His deep throws connect 57.4% of the time compared to last season’s mark of 41.8%.
  22. Agree he’s got to be better than Sunday. He put in a bad game before and came back strong. Hopefully he does that again.
  23. Raw, I slept on it and I'm still angry and want Flus gone. And Stevenson to be benched.
  24. It stood out but I'm choosing to focus on the fact that he engineered a drive that resulted in what should have been the winning score. That's a pretty good indicator that he's not going to be shaken mentally even if he has a bad game.
  25. Caleb’s numbers weren’t good but he had two drives down to the goal line, one of which gave the Bears the lead. I wish he lit it up but grabbing the lead with seconds left is something we haven’t seen much of and it’s in the first half of his first season. And on the road. I’m still on board the Caleb train.
