  1. Well this was him in game 1 of this season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjh3plXR6AE That's kind of directed at his own team I guess. It's funny :)
  2. I'll take wins any way I can get them, but it's very noticeable that the Hawks give up their lead when they get it. Eh. Just keep fighting, let's see what happens as the calendar turns to 2011 and our guys get healthy (hopefully).
  3. Is it really that big an issue that $5million of the contract is deferred until 2012? This club still musters up a pretty good punch financially. I don't think this $5million is going to force the Cubs into a corner financially, regardless of where or when it is paid.
  4. Maybe I've just been missing it, but it seems like Rivers has been toning down his act more recently. I haven't seen any of the over-the-top, red-faced screaming on the sidelines that I used to from him. I still don't see the same thing people talk about with Cutler. I've never felt his body language was all that bad, or that he's a "petulant child" or anything like that. But, since so many others keep saying it, I assume there's something I just don't mind, that others do. At any rate, win me some football games. Beyond that, unless you're being hauled off to jail? Don't really care.
  5. Yeah, I don't have much problem with this. It's a single shot, 10 million look to see if a guy who has produced can get some of that back. If not, he's gone quickly. Sure I'd rather have Dunn but it didn't happen.
  6. To me, Pat is so damn good it's scary. There's no one else I would rather listen to call a game.
  7. Big Ben's QB thug-o-meter is permapegged.
  8. A year of reflection confirms that indeed, life without Tebow just isn't as much fun.
  9. LOL Whoops. And once you post something, you can't unpost it. Too late.
  10. It's pretty much the storyline that most are going with. The Tribune called the penalty the turning point of the game. Humor sites like deadspin and KSK are casually referring to the refs screwing over the Lions again. I think the penalty was pretty much a must call as it happened in real time. If you have the benefit of replay you can decide not to. But you can't do what he did and expect not to get called. Maybe it's because some of these same writers keep picking the Lions to surprise year after year and it never happens
  11. Decent chance the Vikes take the Giants, and Cowboys over the Eagles.
  12. Yes please. Although I want the threat of the Vikings moving to LA to remain so that we can get a new stadium. This would be so anti-climactic.
  13. Hope that was some goooooood [expletive].
  14. The memories rock. The hangover isn't so hot.
  15. Until somebody else gets hurt. Mr. Sunshine over here!
  16. Everywhere the guy goes he's worshipped like a god, so it isn't very surprising that he has brass ones.
  17. Snow won't help us. The Pats are fine with it. The Pats do well with a short range passing attack, which happens to be something we struggle to stop. They exposed the Jets last night, I think they'll expose us next week. I'm happy with what our Bears have accomplished so far, but hold no illusions that this team is a cream-of-the-crop powerhouse. Maybe we can make it a close game by playing the bend-but-don't-break game. But I definitely think this is a loss, and I'm OK with that. Both the upcoming Jets and Vikings games are winnable for us, and that should be good enough.
  18. Throwing up prayers to Edwards doesnt work as well against teams that play actual football.
  19. Ok Bears, see all that stuff the Jets are doing? Don't do that stuff. Try other stuff instead.
  20. Statistically I believe it's actually better for us if the Pats are coming off a win. But yeah, I don't really think we'll match up with them.
  21. Much-ballyhooed Jets defense looks like a giant turd right now.
  22. Sleepwalking through the early game has worked for the Jets against crappy teams. Now let's see what happens against a non-crappy team.
  23. He was probably running out of talented players to chase off. He apparently uncannily learned only the bad parts of Belichek
  24. The Packers are the best team in the NFL now.
