    SUPER BOWL 46

They had the advantage of putting it together as the season wore on. The Bears fell apart.
  2. On the AFC: they really suck. And they should do something about the whole "we'll send the Pats or Steelers once again because nobody else is worth a damn" deal.
  3. I'm shocked that we're on page 3 and already gone to Hitler.
  4. Har dee har!
  5. Oh god, that's horrible. To end it all on something pathetic like that.
  6. Man, the 9ers are playin' Awesome sack. This puppy could go into overtime!!
  7. Damn, this is a pretty good game. The other one too. I thought that might be the case :)
  8. But not unexpected, from the Ravens.
  9. Now if they can only capitalize.
  10. Come on Flacco, be more than Flaccid.
  11. no you dont Hah. Nice.
  12. I think I know what you're getting at, but Cleveland consistently puts crap on the field, so any time they want to stop sucking they are welcome to do that. I wonder, though, if there are people in Cleveland who won't really feel like they've escaped the shadow of that whole mess until the Browns actually put a winner on the field -- preferrably one that beats Baltimore on the way to a run at the Super Bowl.
  13. I don't have much new to add -- this is a tragic story on more than one level, from Paterno's tarnished legacy to the victims of Sandusky. The most preferrable scenario would have involved Sandusky getting hit by a truck around 1970 or so.
  14. Too long a learning curve, as I recall, but ended up decent.
  15. Tampa was getting hyped as a potential London favorite due in part to their owners' ties to EPL. But now the Rams are going three years in a row over there. There's already been whispers of them moving back to LA, and we've heard talk of a potential London based team on the horizon. Agreeing to this situation seems increase the chances of that franchise being on the move. Sounds like it. Which would leave St. Louis a 2 sport town.
  16. Relax, he did a puff piece on Raye a couple days ago, too.
  17. Wait, they're worried that their crap pitcher might not be allowed to suck again for them in 2012? I'm sure they can't wait for Carmona's visa issues to be resolved so he can unleash his next 75 ERA+ season on the citizens of Cleveland.
  18. that dingus is doing the m wrong Yeah, what on earth is the YVCA? I think we are seeing a still of a performance of "half a person". They all look like they've had an encounter with Chris Hansen and Perverted Justice at some point in the past few years. There hasn't been such a display of bad wardrobe since....well, the Village People.
  19. I've been asking that since 2004.
  20. On Forte: Do we have any sense whether his injury might slow him down? I know it's brutal but I would not want to lay out big money for a long time if he's going to lose a step. He's fine the way he was before he got hurt, but IMO Forte is right on the cusp of having just enough speed/moves to be effective. In other words, if he loses just a little bit, I think his ability to make people miss will go away pretty quickly. From the team's perspective it might be a very good idea to just franchise him, pay him for one season, and see how he is before making any kind of commitment long term.
  21. That's the kind of paradigm shift we need around here.
  22. Is there anyone who won't be, at least a little?
  23. They may be selling tickets for seats that don't actually exist yet.
  24. Hehe. Oh no we might lose that mediocre guy we just hired! Which would leave too little time to bring in the next medicore guy! Which would mean a less-than-mediocre guy!
  25. Well technically they can, but they're unlikely to. No, per NFL rules they have to allow him to interview for the HC position. Huh...sure enough. I don't understand why they bother asking permission then. Professional courtesy. Plus I think they have to specifically ask for them to interview for the head coaching position. Teams and coaches probably want their assistants to get interviews elsewhere because it gives the impression, at least, that the staff is well respected around the league. Oh, I didn't realize they can't deny permission. Good to know.
