  1. I don't watch much of this, but that was pretty incredible
  2. Reasons to give Volstad another start are growing increasingly scarce.
  3. Now that the possible questions are over, this must be seen as a major coup for our new GM. It certainly appears that we took the right risk and it paid off big time.
  4. Yes, he was. And unless he's the most irrational lunatic, he probably still is after some damage control. Hopefully. Sounds like Tom has a fun task ahead of him, too. Kindly telling Dad to please shut the [expletive] up.
  5. Didn't that stupid pass just speed up the recovery time for everyone having offseason surgeries, though? Pretending the Bulls could have gotten past the Celtics in round 2, and then maybe a 5 or 6 game series in the ECF, that's nearly another month of play. Probably true, in retrospect. I was pretty upset with him when it happened though.
  6. Sounds like Rahm wasn't inclined to help the Cubs anyway, but now he's got the easiest softball of a reason tossed into his lap ever.
  7. He kind of needs to feel that way about him.
  8. Pray for Carimi to be good and stay healthy. We're not going to be good up front in pass blocking, but I'd like to limit it to only 1 or 2 glaring issues, rather than a series of cascading issues with guys slipping into other positions to cover for injuries, which opens up even more problems, etc. I will say that I wish he chose a different game to judge us against.
  9. Garza did what he could. Bullpen please be good.
  10. I thought this was supposed to be the bad Phils pitcher.
  11. Ref is standing right there, too.
  12. I might like to see something like that in american football. There are plenty of tech solutions that could be implemented in baseball but all of them will be met with this nostalgic barrier that jersey is talking about.
  13. http://www.chicagotribune.com/videogallery/69960956/Sports/Video-Brandon-Marshall-talks-to-students-at-UCAN-Academy A nice interview with Brandon Marshall, where he talks about a number of topics from the allegations in NY, to Cutler then & now.
  14. What, you don't think those creeping shadows are the source of our woe? This article was great. I've always felt like a Buddhist but I didn't quite know how to put it into words.
  15. Nope. No team has ever had such a manager.
  16. It's been a few years. Time to beat the drum again, elicit a little more outrage, generate a little more profit.
  17. Do you really think that's what he is..........now? The ground is always shifting. New blood... always coming.
  18. Yeah, I'm expecting big things. Cutler was on pace for 3700 yards with scrubs at WR last year. Cutler has a great history with Marshall. I'm expecting 90 catches, 1100 yards from him. Cutler has a good rapport with Bennett. Forte will still get his numbers. Throw in an actual talent with Jeffery on the outside and the ability to use the TE for a change, and I'd be mildly disappointed if Cutler doesn't throw for 3800+ yards and I half expect him to crack the 4000 yard mark again. I'm expecting 4000+ this year.
  19. Despite the fact it's been documented he was 216 at the combine! Send him this http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/alshon-jeffery?id=2533039 be sure to hashtag #bears or something Nah, let him continue to believe he's right. It's more fun when he blurts out something stupid on air.
  20. At least they included the possessive.
  21. We made it to mid May before starting the annual complain-about-the-manager thread. That's not too bad.
  22. One thing's for sure, WR was definitely ADDRESSED this offseason. No one can say the Bears didn't attempt to acquire targets for their QB. Protection? Maybe not so much. But definitely targets.
