  1. To me, there's no wondering about it at all. This is exactly what the McClellin pick says. In that sense at least, I like the message it sends. I'm just not seeing where McClellin is particularly outstanding at any of the various things he does. He does many things well, from what I can see, but any of them at a potential top level? On that I'm far more dubious.
  2. hehe, nice.
  3. I'm very happy with the Brown pickup.
  4. Well you tried to put a positive rationale on it for awhile. I give you full marks for effort. Welcome back to the reality of our existence.
  5. There are no words.
  6. i'm gonna drink tonight. i might show up here and post stupid stuff, so ignore me.
  7. god hates us. it has to be.
  8. oh my god what else can go wrong today?
  9. He was the top rated player for like 80 picks, everyone was passing on him. His value point fell right to where we picked. It was such an obvious pick for us it isn't even funny. It has nothing to do with Kiper. His 'value point' to third party 'experts' and the media was the 2nd round. Someone else, Sulley I think, pointed out that Massie is more of what we already have. Middle of the road filler. Teams aren't going to be able to tee off on Jay with the upgraded offense and different scheme like they have the last few years. It's like hiding a below average goalie behind excellent defensemen. Rodriguez is one more specialized tool to help take pressure off the o-line. Assuming he stops beating up coeds. Well I hope this new scheme thing does it. Because if it doesn't we're going to be sad puppies when Jay isn't there and another season falls apart.

  11. they obviously felt that he wouldn't be available in the 6th, and they wanted him more than a player that they liked less. i don't see how that's so hard to grasp. That's not hard to grasp at all. Obviously they made the picks they wanted to. It's not like some random drunk fan was calling them in, having hijacked Emery's war room. No. Indeed, this is the real Emery.
  12. Right, and it's his call to make. If the guys succeed he's a hero and if they suck he won't be around long. I'm hoping he's right! Well that's simply wrong. First of all, it's about the likelihood that his picks will turn out a success. Secondly, even if he turns out to be a relatively poor GM, the Bears may very well hang on to him anyway. What's wrong about him being a hero if the players he drafts succeed? I guess it would just be luck since he went against Mel Kiper? He's already a terrible goat in most of your minds. There's nothing wrong at all if his players succeed. I'm rooting for it. I'd just like a greater chance of that happening, that's all. Please don't play the Kiper card. He's not the only one who had Massie on the top of the board. Not even remotely close.
  13. Assuming it's Jay Cutler throwing to Bennett, sure. He could have a big year.
  14. Thanks Bulls for carrying the day. I feel better now.
  15. Hyperbole IMO. We'll see. I'M AGAINST YOU!! :) (I'm pretty worked up & upset right now so feel free to ignore me)

  17. I never thought much of BPA because it is a largely meaningless concept.
  18. They're just dumb turnovers. Why when you are up big do you begin acting like a fool? I can't understand it.
  19. OK enough messing around. This is why playoff basketball brings me close to a cardiac arrest.
  20. So is Rip actually back now, for real? He's been playing, and not getting hurt. That in and of itself is significant. Knock on wood.
  21. I simply cannot fathom evaluating Rodriguez higher than Massie, given our team needs. This draft was seriously from outer space. I have no idea what Emery is trying to do. I can see Jeffrey, but McClellin was completely ludicrous. And now this.
  22. You know the Bulls are about to play a playoff game, right? I'll be back in time for the 2nd half.
  23. Ok, I gotta know what this expletive is. Racial slur? It was the f word, "[expletive]" Multiple people have been calling him a [expletive]? Just seems weird. Or is tight end being filtered? EDIT: Nope, tight end isn't being filtered. [expletive]? Wow, FB is being filtered? what's up with that? Been that way for years. Maybe Tim knows.
  24. I'm gonna go for a run. I need to burn off steam. On the plus side, when I'm irritated by something I typically have a better time running. OK, Mr. Emery. Welcome to Chicago. These gambles better pay off.
  25. SPECIAL TEAMS Oh my god NIGHTMARE. Toub is running our draft!!
