  1. Wouldn't that be a whole lot like hell freezing over ?? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b137/Hornkohl/Hell.jpg Go CUBS !! It's one of those things that I was hoping would start to happen on a more immediate basis with the new leadership of this club.
  2. Yeah, sounds like they just punted. Damn it. I won't be able to watch the rest of it tomorrow.
  3. I don't know, some of those lighter weight classes have produced really watchable stuff, like Gatti / Ward & such. I loved the great heavyweight era like just about everyone who enjoys boxing. I never really liked the idea of big-bash PPV events though. But I used to pay for them anyway. I can't remember what finally caused me to throw in the towel. Might have been Tyson/Holyfield II
  4. Bumping it to Monday?
  5. Nadal was dominating before the rain break, now Djokovic has really found his stoke. Fortuitous.
  6. Maybe we did choose to be punchless. But the choices were made long ago, not so much this year.
  7. So would I, but since it's pretty easy to watch 2 minutes and then switch back, there's never really a decision to be made.
  8. OKC *must* win this thing.
  9. I stopped PPV'ing boxing a long time ago. Something like this just makes me happy I did.
  10. Thanks for sucking, SSR. If your team can't close the deal, what good are you?
  11. I love how Spoelstra acts like he's doing something.
  12. I'm sorry to hear that. I'll bet it will be pretty awesome seeing the Thunder in the finals knowing it would have been amazing for him too.
  13. Heat what who? Ever heard of Boston? That team leading the series, having just won game 5?
  14. Someone probably had to use the restroom.
  15. The 2-a-day is officially dead.
  16. Hey Ho, Heat must go.
  17. lol except braun is doing just as well this year as he did last I think it was Olney who wrote an article recently that showed Braun virtually has the same numbers through 50 games this year (or however many have been played so far) that he did last year through the same amount of games. Shhhh. My jokes sound better when you don't interject inconvenient truths into them.
  18. "Bottom of the 9th. Brewers need 10 to tie. Might as well get 11." Here's the real words, in case you can't read between the lines: "we just lost Prince. Braun can't do roids anymore. Now we're getting killed by the worst team in the league at home. Kill me. Kill me right now."
  19. We must be the best baseball team in da wurld. how else could we be killing these losers?
  20. He's just doing the hard-nosed, substance-based reporting we've all come to expect from him.
  21. Castro's W/L record is 18-36. That's the shortstop equivalent of a 5-10 starting pitcher.
  22. Much as I hate to agree with SSR, he has a point: if Nash doesn't care about money and the Heat wanted his services, for example.... ...he'd just go to the Heat. They'll be full strength (assuming Bosh comes back and no further injuries) all year with no need to work a superstar back in. Nash to the Bulls would need a little help. Other options shut down for some reason, Nash deciding there's some reason he really wants to play here, etc. Maybe it happens. They should definitely try any and all options. I won't hold my breath.
  23. This is the poll question on the Tribune website right now. Over 40% of idiots who voted said they wanted the Cubs to trade him. Jesus. I bet of those 40% nearly all of them would rather have David Eckstein or Theriot back as the SS over Castro too.... There's a commenter who wrote that when all is said and done, Theriot will have better career numbers. SMDH Haha. Greatness.
  24. I expected San Antonio's win streak to end this series, but now they can't win at all.
