  1. I sure hope not. Lovie said it wasn't related to a Bush injury, FWIW: http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4678452/lovie-injury-no-factor-in-bush-sitting-late
  2. I'm pretty sure they would all be alive if they reversed that call. I'm just glad they didn't. Heh. NFL outrage is kinda fun, I can't help but enjoy that part of it.
  3. Yeah, I may never watch football again. You have broken my heart NFL. Broken my heart. Here you go, some NBA news for you http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/20357546/the-nba-reacts-to-monday-night-footballs-replacement-ref-debacle
  4. Tate is so busy committing PI, he really just gets in a token stab at the ball. Sure, his hands touch it but Jennings has it. Also, it's clear the refs run over afterwards and just blow the call, based on what they see on the ground. I don't think they ever see this angle. It doesn't change anything for me.
  5. Eh, it really was horrible. But it will now be debated and debated for days with every piece of detail put on the screen to a level that would not normally be done. The bottom line for me is, I feel completely confident with the regular refs that would not have been called a TD. And also, when you put this one call in the context of the slew of horrifying incompetence that is canvassing the entire league right now, it's just beyond anything that can possibly be defended.
  6. By the time the players hit the ground, which is when possession is determined, both players had the ball. Simultaneous catch goes to the offense. Unless I'm misunderstanding the rule. Think of all the other catches that would have to be re-examined if that's the case. If that's all it takes to trigger the simultaneous rule, then it would be very difficult for a defender to ever get an INT where the receiver can make a token stab at possession.
  7. Lost in this, of course, is how terrible the Packers were last night. Especially in the passing game. They haven't been a great passing offense in quite some time now.
  8. Apparently, later today, the NFL is going to issue a statement on the play.
  9. I listened to the Seahawks call, and it's as if there was no controversy at all. If you were listening to Seahawks radio last night you were told Tate just came down with the ball, cleanly.
  10. the inaccurate reception, lol
  11. Seriously, I do not. The integrity of the league is at stake, and the owners are throwing their own product under the bus. It's insanity. Next week it could very well be your favorite team, so don't let your team bias affect you. This is terrible, for everyone. Your fear mongering doesn't change my line of thought. The Packers deserved it. LOL fear mongering. WUT?
  12. Seriously, I do not. The integrity of the league is at stake, and the owners are throwing their own product under the bus. It's insanity. Next week it could very well be your favorite team, so don't let your team bias affect you. This is terrible, for everyone.
  13. The league might have to fine Aaron Rodgers too, now. The list of people they'll need to fine grows long, and is starting to read like a league-wide payroll list.
  14. LOL. Reporters drilling McCarthy with several questions about the officials. Finally he just says "I'm not in the mood for drama today, OK Jason? Not in the mood for it." I give him full credit for being diplomatic about it.
  15. Hah! :hello:
  16. nice..that's gonna cost him some money most likely. Fans or players should pool together and pay it then. He's 100% right.
  17. Expect higher corn prices.
  18. On a personal note, it's pretty fun that the Packers get a loss that should have been a win. BUT -- next week, it could be us. This league has lost its foundation. Who are these owners? One of these morons needs to speak up and defend their decision to throw the entire national pastime into chaos. They owe all of us an explanation. What the SAM HELL is going on, and how did you let it get this bad??!!?
  19. Now half the stadium crowd is gone and they will kick an extra point.....20 MINUTES LATER. Travesty. The owners in this league ought to be ashamed of themselves.
  20. Oh my God. This is the worst thing ever seen in the NFL. It simply cannot be defended. You fail owners. You HAVE FAILED.
  21. AAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! Ultimate stupidity realized. LOLOLOL.
  22. It ends, predictably, in reffing stupidity.
  23. HAHAH! Total ridiculousness.
  24. WHAT THE HELL!
  25. Washington. WTF hell?!? GET YARDS.
