  1. At least they are scoring a little tonight. If they could just stop the damn tide
  2. OK, let's get the hangover out of our system tonight and get back to playing good hockey next game.
  3. I'd be very confused if they went after Wallace, unless for some reason other teams are scared away and he doesn't command the kind of money expected. Even then, though: priorities, please.
  4. OK, well I'm not saying the Blues won't win anything, but in terms of providing solid reasons, that list comes up pretty short.
  5. I don't understand his sentiment at all. He's way off. A team's point totals matter in any one season because that is how seasons are judged. An individual's goals scored in one season count when judging who won a scoring title for that specific season. But nobody is giving the Blackhawks extra points toward this season's standings based on what happened last season. A streak is just a random phenomena that has no bearing on any one season in and of itself. If the streak started last year and continued this year it continues. Nobody gets a trophy for it (although knowing the Blackhawks they will probably have a 2-hour ceremony where they present everybody with a picture of the Stanley Cup). Sure, and I can't speak for him. To me it is different if a given group of players do it all together during the same season, versus two different sets of players with an offseason in between. Not that I really care. They can tally it up whatever way they want. I'm just saying there's a difference between the two.
  6. Officially, he's wrong then. I still understand the sentiment, though. It's not the same team across seasons.
  7. Insane.
  8. In terms of tiredness, I don't think there's an advantage either way. It's the 3rd game in 4 nights for both teams.
  9. I certainly didn't like hearing that Rose says his knee still feels bad when he cuts.
  10. Didn't remember that, but it makes more sense coming from them than some dude on the Avs. The Avs are the only team that hasn't seen the Blackhawks first hand this year. Yeah, and now the teams play 3 times in the space of 2 weeks.
  11. And, so we come to the tomato... It's a fruit. Period. No discussion needed. A berry, specifically, in case you were curious. I know but I can't accept it.
  12. Alright, it was over the top.
  13. I was just talking to a co-worker today, and I asked him about the Blackhawks. He's originally from Edmonton. The resulting flood of hatred against the Blackhawks, and particularly Kane, was delicious. Hahah. I love this whole thing so much.
  14. I just realized how fun this is.
  15. It was unusually quiet tonight, too Not acceptable for hockey fans only 2 states over to be unaware of our traditions.
  16. The slaughter is on!
  17. Nice pinball action there. Tied up. And another one!! 2-1!
  18. 4-6"? The storm doesn't look like it should be that bad for Chicago standards. SAYS THE GUY IN CALIFORNIA i've been operating on the warning, which states 4-8, up to 10. if it stays on the low end, you're right, not too bad. but if it starts getting up there, rescheduling for the safety of the driving spectators might be prudent. i would think it would have to be pretty bad for that to happen though, condensed schedule and such The high end was based on accumulation starting yesterday, though now that I'm perusing the NWS Chicago web site, it still looks like 6-10" is possible in most areas. In summary, don't mind me. THIS IS HOCKEY. Get some damn chains on your tires and get out to the game.
  19. I just like the idea of doing something in free agency @ OL. It makes it clear that OL is a priority, which obviously it needs to be. And then it makes the Bears more flexible on draft day by removing (or decreasing) the position pressure to pick up OL at all costs. It's a double win.
  20. I would be OK with that strategy.
  21. Yeah, I know. I feel like there are plenty of local Chicago guys who couldn't explain the NHL point system too, though.
  22. At this point I'm just desperate to not be sitting here in May wondering why we did nothing. Again.
  23. Too weird if Prior's career begins, ends, begins again, and then ends AGAIN -- all at the hands of Dusty Baker.
