    Nobody knows what the Bears will do in the draft now, and I've got to think that fact is an advantage in itself.

    Probably most of us? I feel like anyone who follows the NBA regularly should know this. Just watching sportscenter semi-regularly would suffice.

    Yeah. Why try to catch more viewers when they can watch.

    Both Hossa and Sharp skated today in practice, though. I'll take that as a positive.

    Yeah, but that's no way to build. Roster turnover is usually not a good thing in the NFL. The Bears need to add to the core of the team. Granted they did that with Bushrod and Bennett, but it won't matter if they have to replace Jennings, Tillman, Melton, Wright, 2 LBs, Garza, Webb, and Cutler next year. Not to mention Peppers and Forte are candidates to be cut for cap reasons. That's half your starters, with realistically only help on the horizon from 2 draft picks (top 100 picks). I guess I don't see the urgency to do anything to get guys like Melton, Wright, and the CBs here for the long-term. Restructuring/extending those guys creates cap space and keeps a solid core of players in tact for more than this 1 season. It's key that they start hitting on more of these draft picks. They must draft and develop more consistently, or it's trouble.

    I watched most of it. We dominated puck possession and shots again -- like we should. Such a difference between a team like Calgary, and a team like LA. One has good skills, and one really doesn't, and it's obvious when you play them back-to-back. It was a good game. Non-descript, but fun, win.

    Got to think about it long term, too. Not drafting young OL talent got us into this mess. We should keep bringing in solid picks regularly.

    It could go back up, but yeah - I'm not thrilled with the goaltending right now.

    I thought so too, but no one else seems to be saying that. I didn't see a definitive angle on it, but it's possible.
