  1. I give up. I really, really, really suck at this.
  2. So awesome. Extremely excited. lol it's the angels I know :). I had to though, it just stuck out to me in the video. Might be better to show Bryant hitting one that matters a little more if he's trying to make that point.

  4. I get it, but surely you also get that the vast majority of Cub fans aren't going to schedule trips to Daytona and Knoxville in order to witness good baseball. And they shouldn't have to.
  5. No, it's nothing you said. Just rubs me the wrong way when these articles come out that try to pick out bad feelings and make something of them. I'm sure I'm way too sensitive to it, but it's just like -- give it a rest, players move around.
  6. Just seems like another article trying to sensationalize something that had actually very little drama. Melton didn't get an offer from the Bears. He went on the interview trail and signed somewhere else. Big deal. Of course Emery wasn't falling all over himself to make Melton offers. He just got done paying him a whole bunch, for essentially no return on the investment. Big surprise there.
  7. Well, it takes you to a pretty dark place once you admit that your owner is mediocre. There's not much that can be done to fix that. So I can actually understand the defensiveness a little. It's not like you can't win titles with a mediocre owner. That's hardly a dark place. Surely it reduces the likelihood of sustained winning.

  9. Also, I'd assume part of what gets the Cubs to .500 this year is having a few of our future pieces perform well at the major league level.
  10. I recall 2014. Maybe that wasn't coming from the FO, but there was a general expectation that this year the Cubs would start being competitive. It's been very frustrating for me to see that slip -- first to 2015, then 2016. Now this well-written article is throwing around 2019. We can debate what has gone well and what hasn't -- what Ricketts expected and what he didn't. But there is no doubt his plan has suffered some serious setbacks.
  11. Damn it, Kane's out and I can't even go on a rant against the Blues 'cuz it was just a freak play.
  12. I think you're right. Nice try though - may as well see if you can hit a line drive just below the crossbar level. He nearly pulled it off
  13. Nice, like a pinball off the posts & in
  14. What?!? Bickell pounded Simmonds wasn't close!!
  15. I'm not all that excited that the Hawks will play again tonight, against one of the best clubs, and a rivalry, and after an OT loss. Plus last night's game was pretty brutal physically with all the fights & such. But logic never holds true, so I'm calling Hawks blowout!!
  16. Honestly, I cannot fathom how anyone could come to these conclusions. You must lead a difficult life. Why go there?
