    Yeah, in my little non-hockey-expert mind, I was thinking Shattenkirk should have laid out to take away the low shot and give Miller a view. Anyway, glad it worked out for us :). Time to take one in the Evil City.

    I think people are assuming it's Wood because he's the only one left. I think this is some kind of weird high-horse crap coming from Ricketts. He really must think Sosa should come in and bow down, apologize to "the organization."

    That's kind of the same way I feel about Sosa as well. Didn't bother me all that much that he left early that last game. It did bother me that I couldn't stop hearing about how crappy Sosa was for doing it, every damn day for like a month. And the number of positive Sosa memories I have definitely outweighs his overall jerky-ness anyway, as you said. Honestly I don't hate Sandberg either. Dude came, he played, hit a ton of baseballs, fielded a ton of grounders. Great moments @ Wrigley. That's all there is.

    He literally quit on his team mid-season. That's supposed to be the ultimate no-no. How do people not get that? He signed the richest contract in baseball, then quit because his old lady stepped out on him. I'm guessing that the storyline at the time wasnt that he quit on his team, because the media adored him and probably put a decent face on the whole thing.

    So the solution is that Sammy must apologize to players who are no longer with the team, and then report back to the Cubs? I mean, that's what the article sounds like. What a piece of [expletive] [expletive] limp dick thing to expect from someone. That better not be what it is.

    Who was the defenseman on that? I've got to believe there would have been a better way to play that than putting his knees together and just kind of going limp. Perfect for Kane: built-in screen served right up for the game winner.

    Some weird number symmetry going on here 3/4 games have ended in a 4-3 score. 3/4 games: OT Last night the Hawks win 4-3, SOG 34-33 Hawks.

    I think it's amazing and I'm glad it happened right in their stupid, smug, rebuilding faces. Thinking about it, there really wasn't any other way this game would go down. It happened exactly as it should have.
