Michael Wright basically said the other day that the Bears don't hold safeties to a high regard. Could be the biggest downfall of Emery's tenure if this is true and a big mistake. I'm kind of surprised to see that many go. Not that safety isn't important, but I think teams can get by with less than earth shattering top talent there.
I don't see how anyone could be surprised. He was brought in for a private workout, he's one of the top prospects in an area of need. Heck, raw had him pegged as one of the top 6 most likely just a couple pages back.
