  1. The Cubs aren't that lucky. There is a decided lack of magic baseball pixie dust on the North side lately, true.
  2. Find a hobby that doesn't involve sports... as for me, I get to look forward to the Flyers getting my hopes up and then inevitably crushing them. Welcome to the long, cold, winter of Chicago sports......which will likely extend through the Summer :(
  3. As long as it includes Ron Turner's baffling playcalling and Ron Riviera's nonexistent scheme, and does not include second guessing Kyle/Rex, let it commence. I honestly don't see how one can second guess Rex given his recovery from the first 25 minutes of the game. Yes, he made some really stupid passes, but does anyone expect Orton to have done better? No. I don't blame Rex. Of the inexperienced QBs that were in the playoffs, can't a case be made that Rex played the best? How many TD drives did Eli Manning mastermind against this Carolina D? And with all those weapons at his disposal? No. After he settled down, Rex gained some decent experience and kept us in the game long after the D had blown it. I blame mostly the non-existent defense in this game. Tillman: can you say suckage? Any chance Tillman gets waived? Is Azuman a better shut-down corner? The secondary should definatley be a off-season area to improve. Build it around Vasher & Harris & the Bears will be fine. Zoom is faster than Tillman, but I don't think they'll keep him because that hip injury appears to be chronic, and he didn't seem to have the same ability after the injury. Truly unfortunate. Zoom has been with us for years & years, he's gone from a running back to a decent corner/pro bowl special teamer, and I've met the guy at practices----he's always a pleasure, spends loads of time signing autographs for children & adults. Always a smile on his face, never looks down his nose at ANYONE. I think they'll stick with Tillman, look for a nickel corner in free agency or draft/scrap heap.

  5. Oh yes. I expect Chico to get lambasted something fierce for interviewing all week last week instead of preparing a gameplan.
  6. Well that's it. Still a nice season. Didn't end well, but oh well. I think we'll be back next year, unlike 2002.
  7. I think Rex gained some real good experience. That last INT----trying to make something happen down by 8 points. Not like he threw 5 INTs. The defense though. I suppose next year we won't hear the trash talk? Perhaps it would be best to ignore the press clippings and watch some game film guys?
  8. I hate hope. Everytime I have it, it always gets squashed, especially by my sports teams. Spoken like a true Cub fan
  9. LMAO. Chico was interviewing for head coaching positions? Why don't you learn to scheme a defense in the playoffs first, eh?
  10. Defense is atrocious today. LOL, they look like Green Bay out there. I never would have guessed it. They're losing it for us.
  11. Hunter. That looks bad.
  12. I hate to say this because or defense has gotten us here, but I must: If our D would have come to play today, we would be dominating this game. Their breakdowns in coverage, no pressure, mental errors......it has cost us the lead and maybe the game.
  13. Certainly don't deserve to win ANY game playing bush league like that. A playoff game? Ridiculous. That's embarrasing.
  14. LOL. Yeah. Wow. If you leave Smith that wide open, forget it. Can't win like that.
  15. We will need a big turnover from this D to win. They have field position advantage.
  16. Wow that really, really hurt. With Maynard punting? It'll either be blocked or Carolina will have it deep in our territory. edit: poor punt, but got the lucky roll. I'll take it I guess.
  17. Damn, that fumble would have been so nice to recover.
  18. We need to assert ourselves on defense so badly right now.
  19. Damn, can we get a little better coverage on kickoffs?
  20. Wow that was some of the best offense I've seen from this team in years. Nice job.
  21. I knew this game would be tough. Bears need to catch their breath at halftime and come out with more focus.
  22. Wow, you hate to see that happen. Defense needed to build on that momentum and they just didn't. Ouchie :(
  23. Tillman was beat again. No pressure on Delhomme AT ALL.
  24. Wow. Too weird. Now we're fighting for our lives again though. Damn.
  25. Come on. Pressure him. Throw it right into coverage. Comeon...
