  1. This might come down to.......oh yes you guessed it!......the leg of Martin Grammatica
  2. Yeah well we all KNOW this, but what's the sense in sitting here saying the BCS sucks? It does and everyone knows it does, but we're stuck with it, so we might as well debate the garbage they've given us. I won't participate. I won't be a slave to the BCS and their ridiculous, incessant, pointless "who got dissed" arguments every year. You shouldn't either. Right now they're laughing at us.
  3. There's no way to say until the rehab starts.
  4. Yes. They're terrible. How Coughlin is any better than Fassel was is a mystery to me. Still looks like the same junky, poor fundamentals ballclub to me.
  5. The problem is the BCS. It's just the BCS. There's always going to be that argument. BCS promised to end the incessant arguments. It hasn't. It has failed. It needs to be removed in favor of a playoff. I'm sick of shouting to a brick wall every year on this. So is everyone else. Let's kidnap the bowl presidents, vote in a playoff system, then release them. The presidents need to be told to shut up. BCS needs to die. Playoff needs to be instituted. End of story.
  6. I've never seen a team with a QB posting a 1.3 QB rating win handily. That speaks to the Bears D turnover munchiness. And the Vikings' overall junkiness.
  7. Nope. That would be too late. You need to find out NOW if Griese will be better, otherwise you go into the playoffs with a cold QB. No good. Has to happen now or never.
  8. Geez :( Yeap. Lovie says it's a sprained knee. I'm thinking there's a good chance we just lost Tommie for the year.
  9. Am I the only one who totally disagreed with the announcers in that it was a bad decision to go to Berrian there? He was one on one and getting separation. The throw was bad, the wind didn't help, and Berrian not contesting the pick more didn't either, but I didn't think it was a bad decision as they kept trying to say. no. I and others agree with you 100%. Not a bad decision. Just didn't get thrown quickly enough to be within Rex's range.
  10. Yeah well........I've got no problem with those USC honeys doing a cheer at any time 8)
  11. I figured that's what would happen. Once again the BCS fails. Not because Michigan didn't make it. But because the system offers no sure way of making a positive determination between teams such as Michigan and Florida. Hopefully this will force some changes. Probably not though.
  12. Lovie: "Difficult to win the division 2 years in a row. That's big." "We made a lot of great plays. RMJ's interception was big. All of them were big." "Hester is a special player. Every time he touched the ball I felt like he could score." "Offensively we didn't get much done. The turnovers, we have to correct. Pleased with how we ran the football. Benson really came on strong." "Harris sprained knee. Vasher hamstring." "We have a lot to do yet. Good to get the first goal accomplished. Now we are going to see if we can get home field advantage." "I'm definitely concerned about the injuries, hopefully they will be O.K." "Rex is our Quarterback." "Difference between perception and reality. We're 10-2 with Rex at QB. That's the reality. We aren't changing. We're 10-2 with Rex." "Pretty hard for me to tell you all the things we would need to change. At 10-2, there's not alot that needs to be changed. We're in the playoffs now. We are going to cherish that right now. We know we have work to do, and we will do it." "We're in the playoffs. It's big. Other people think it's easy to do. I've never been associated with a team that went back-to-back division champs. We're definitely celebrating in the locker room."
  13. Grossman: "I know I can play, it's just a matter of doing it on the field." "Gloves didn't have an effect." "Never got into a rhythm against them." "Proud of the team and what we have accomplished." "I'm thinking too much. I'm trying to analyze things too much. I just need to play and not worry about these little things. It's easily corrected." "I just need to worry about fixing these errors. Nothing else."
  14. Seriously, this is beyond me not liking Rex anymore. Try Griese. If he doesn't work out, then go back to Rex. You no longer have anything to lose. A 0.0 rating is BEYOND pathetic. HFA isn't going to matter if Rex keeps playing like he has been. Go right back to Rex? So you sit Grossman for two or three weeks, go back to Rex right before the playoffs start, and expect him to play better than he did today? They're not facing good competition the rest of the way. Let the offense come back together again over the last four weeks. They're not going to be making any switches, so it doesn't really matter. The Vikings were junk too. I doubt this offense suddenly "comes together" when it was terrible against the worst pass D in the league. You're probably right no changes will be made.
  15. Zoom: Time for Griese Dent: Time for Griese Jiggets: Defense can't be relied on for that many turnovers every time, some decision at QB must be made, maybe some adjustments....something. Jiggets: That lack of offense at some point is going to burn you, and burn you badly. Damn straight. It's time to just try Griese. Can't be worse than Rex.
  16. Briggs is so damn good. Just find some way to resign him plz.
  17. as Tenn beats Indy and the Patriots are trailing the Lions. correction. NE ties it up Indeed. Think the Pats tied it up, but that's a good observation.
  18. Bears are not playing like a contender today.
  19. I assume we're just running prevent, making them use up the clock.
  20. Vasher just isn't quite as good this year.
  21. Obviously now with the lead. But if it would have continued to be close, or the Vikings take the lead, then it's an entirely different story. HFA is on the line. Dallas and Seattle aren't going to drop many more games. You can easily turn to Griese and then try Rex again the following week if it's necessary.
  22. You know, I've always just LOVED how the Bears celebrate a safety more than they do a TD. That's Bear football baby.
