  1. Don't knock those end zone seats. I had a pair to the Buffalo game, and every TD except one was scored in my end zone. They wound up being the best seats in the house, bar none. Have fun at the game!
  2. Hardly http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks What is encouraging is that accuscore.com ran the simualation of this game 10,000 times and the Bears won an outstounding 78% of the time. Yet more people who are in dire need of something productive to do with their lives 8-)
  3. yeah its not quite as good as the first one. there is plenty of bear stuff on that site if you look at the rest of the articles. they seem to rip every team to shreds. ...they seem to be in dire need of jobs.
  4. If I were you, I'd give up those tickets. You wouldn't want to risk seeing the Bears lose. It might ruin your day. Plus, you'd miss 24! Whether or not I go to the game won't matter for that. If the Bears blow this thing, Sunday will be racked with much weeping, and gnashing of teeth.
  5. Cowboys would've been a tougher matchup for the Bears, IMO. Still, Bears have been so terrible they might blow it. Might very well blow it.
  6. We've got a ballgame folks!
  7. meh, I would have preferred the 3PM game. Same. I'd have also preferred the Saturday night game... Prefer the primetime slots. I'll be there. Won't be home in time for the 24 kickoff either. Oh well, it's worth it. Nice! I can't say that I'm jealous that you'll be sitting out there in the cold... Can't say that I'm not jealous either, though. :D 24? Got TiVo??? No TiVo :( I'll download the episodes via bittorrent or something like that. I won't be freezing---the tix are Cadillac club 8-)
  8. Dallas is bad too. Criminey, if the Bears were playing even as well as they did against the Jets I'd say there's no chance for either of these clubs. But alas, we're playing so poorly we could very well lose despite the shaky competition.

  10. It seems Drew is rarely healthy, though he did play 146 games last year. I would be worried about paying him a ton of money only to watch his games hover around the 110 mark.
  11. Seattle's just junky. They're done.
  12. Must win tonight after what happened vs. NJ.
  13. Yeah I read that in the Tribune too. Seems like they're preparing harder than they have in over a month. Hopefully it pays off. What article, exactly? Yes, link please? Not doubting it----I hope it's true. But this isn't what I've heard.
  14. Aretha Franklin?? Not a very intimidating choice of intro tune You know, I always mess that up. I always think the song is called Respect, but it's not. It's called Walk, by Pantera. Come to think of it, LOL-----a song called Walk would definitely *NOT* be good for a pitcher! Great tune though.
  15. I don't believe there's such a thing as an anomalous season. Not an entire year. That sounds like there's no assignable reason----just bad years, which happen because the gods say so. Dempster had a down year, there were reasons for it even if we can't identify or quantify them. Hard to say if he'll bounce back. I wouldn't think the Cubs will come out in the press and say, "we know Dempster's going to suck but we're just keeping him around anyway."
  16. Anyone else seeing a lack of urgency with this team? They got their butts kicked by Green Bay, Grossman admitted he basically didn't care. Looked very much like the entire team didn't. One would think they'd be dialing it up this week, despite the extra time before the next game. You know, getting back to basics, keeping their fitness up----maybe even working on a couple new wrinkles. Instead, I'm hearing practices have been very light. Anyone else heard the same? I know Tank Johnson didn't show Friday. I know it was an excused absence and he's got alot to deal with in his life, but still----wild horses couldn't drag me away at this moment in time. Chico Rivera hasn't even been in town, instead gallavanting around the country doing interviews (hmmm....heard this story before??) while his struggling defense sits at Halas Hall twiddling their thumbs. And now Ron Turner is getting in on the act, doing interviews as his QB tries to find the energy to care. Christ, I guess they're just satisfied with being divisional champs. After all, why wouldn't they be? All you have to do in this league is win the division and the big time salary offers start rolling in. Who cares about the Super Bowl? Nobody in Chicago, apparently.

Yep. No adjustments by Michigan at halftime. No short routes, no quick drops, no screens to beat the blitz. It's over.
  18. Yeah you're right.
  19. Alright, alright. But it's still a "Bears will play good again" argument. We've been playing bad against top 10 draft ballclubs here.
  20. And Florida lost to Auburn by a field goal on the road. They win in the Swamp. What happened is what happened. Florida wins 6-3 in a terrible game that almost everyone switches off halfway through. Michigan wins today 45-10. You still have Florida as champs? Without a doubt. I think the voters would have Michigan. Extreme hypothetical of course. Not going to happen. USC might even win today.

  22. Probably won't happen, but if Michigan were by some chance to win by, say.........25 points today, and Florida squeaks by Ohio State by 1 point, I'd vote Michigan #1. Yes, they lost to OSU, but on the road. If that game was in the Big House, OSU would have lost.
  23. :?: It's listed as being in HD. Maybe the pregame stuff doesn't show up on the HD channel for whatever reason. Looks like they just "switched it on" or whatever they do. I was getting worried there for awhile. Why not have the pre-game in High Def too?
  24. You've got to be kidding me. ABC sends the high def cameras to the Capitol One bowl, but not the Rose Bowl???? WTH?
  25. I've been very impressed with the Arkansas defense today and very unimpressed with the Wisconsin offense. It's very underrated. I've seen them play a few times this year and they are quite good. Apparently not good enough. Wisconsin wins. Big 10 acquitting themselves quite nicely against the SEC today. It wasn't really the D's fault. Give up 17 points to a good team you have to expect to win, the offense couldn't move it on Wisconsin though. As far as the Big 10 dominating the SEC, it's true. Arkansas had 368 total yards to Wisconsin's 203. Arkansas moved the ball, they just couldn't score. Good point, I hadn't seen those numbers. EDIT: That still means much more blame goes to the offense than the defense. The D did its job. Wisconsin has been a good bend-but-don't-break unit this year. That Arkansas run game is cream of the crop, no question there.
