  1. What else can go wrong? How about what else can the league do to sabotage our season ya jerks?!?
  2. Renteria with the forearm right to the face of Fontenot. Umps don't even blink. Wow. So I guess the league is just going to take games away from us when we get on a roll then?
  3. Ump is laughing. This was totally planned by the refs. Unbelievable.
  4. Lilly is a man of extraordinary self control. I'm telling you, I'd just lose it and start hauling off on people. This is the most stupid thing I've ever seen in my life.
  5. These umps just screwed the series for us, and probably our next series too. Give me a freaking break.
  6. This is ridiculous, they get to throw at our guys with just a warning and we get thrown out immediately. THIS IS FREAKING RIDICULOUS.
  7. Oh you better not have thrown Lilly out.
  8. I feel it certain he wouldn't stand for nonsense like ignoring OBP and accepting a minor league system that produces zero positional talent for 20 years.
  9. I realize I have my moments as well, but DAMN. mspcanes1, do you really believe that crap? Cuban resurrected the Mavs from the scrap heap of sports. They were the Texas equivalent of the Clippers, the MLB equivalent of the Expos, a team ignored by its dwindling fan base, a team going nowhere. In a few short years he's turned them into contenders every year, completely rebuilt the fan base, and has the Mavs generating cash hand over fist for the first time in their history. Come on, you've got to be kidding me. Cuban's a winner, plain and simple. He absolutely will not rest until his team is on top. Excuse me, but that's the exact attitude we need here.
  10. Playoff atmosphere against the Pirates? Hahahahahahhahahahahahahaahh *sigh* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa
  11. "Mr. Eyre, please answer the door. Your car is ready." Sorry, that's all I've got. 8-)
  12. Agreed. I personally think the other is the right choice. if they are really looking to crack down on beanballing, bring instant discipline to the first wrong. smack the puppy on the nose when he makes a poop on the rug, not after you pick it up and get some on your hands. it was an obvious intentional beanball, and obviously something called for from the bench. eject Hudson and Cox right there, and then its a fair ball game, and noone gets hurt. Yes, I would prefer to see this as well.
  13. I can't blame him for using discretion to now throw any of the pitchers out of the game so far, but it's the initial warning that was the problem That's the problem. You're saying discretion is no longer in play -- you're going to throw out the next guy who comes close. Otherwise the warning means nothing. That's not necessarily true. The umpire can still use discretion after issuing a warning and it's pretty obvious that the Braves don't want to hit a pitcher (Gallagher) and a pitcher-wannabe (Izturis). I agree that the warning was stupid, but there haven't been any other pitches thrown with intent that would warrant an ejection. Then what does the warning really mean? An ump can always throw a pitcher out when there was intent to hit someone, whether there was a previous warning or not. It's true that an umpire can throw a pitcher out an any time whether or not there has been a warning issued, but it rarely happens that way. The warning means they don't want any more pupose pitches being thrown, and in this case it has prevented the Cubs from retaliating... until tomorrow. I don't think so. We'll have to agree to disagree. In my opinion, when the ump gives a warning, he's saying there's not going to be that normal discretion. That's why pitchers are unable to throw inside afterwards. That's also why Lou has his hands up in the air after the Braves pitcher hit another batter, even though it was the pitcher. It's because that ump just didn't follow through on his threat. But like I said, we'll have to agree to disagree.
  14. crystal. what is to be gained by saying that over and over? I'll say what I wish, but thanks.
  15. MY GOD EYRE YOU ARE SO DAMN HORRID!!!! AHHHHRRRGGGGHH!

  18. Izzy swung after the ball was in the glove. Jesus.
  19. This has reached the point of stupdity. How can you warn that you'll throw guys out and then not throw them out?
  20. This is not a real promising lineup we're putting out there at the moment.
  21. There's a good play by fontenot.
  22. Thats such a stupid thing to say. I know jock is terrible and I cant stand him either, but what do you want him to do? Break down and cry in the middle of the field? I believe it was Bruce on the radio who said it's obvious some players on this team aren't giving their full effort. There's just no question Jacque is one of them, no matter how "stupid" you think it is.
