I'm hoping it's just the Brewers. They have a horrid record in PNC park, for whatever reason. I trust ours is at least a little better, though I haven't looked it up. Uecker was talking about how terrible it's been for the Crew in PNC yesterday. Looks like they lived up to it. Lose 3/4 to the Pirates, wow.

They'll ruin him one way or the other. It's got to be nigh impossible for an organization to have all duds at every position for 20 years in the minors. The probability of missing on every single draft pick since Grace has to be nearly nil. They've got to be teaching the wrong things, ruining players. At this point I have one sage piece of advice for every kid we just drafted: ignore everything the coaches tell you, if you know what's good for you.

Ding, you win I think it's in a little better shape than you are making it out to be. No...it's not. It's pathetic. Agreed. Seems terrible to me, position-player wise. All we have to show for ourselves at the moment are a couple of admittedly eager college prospects with pretty low ceilings and another "toolsy" CF who is, not suprisingly, floudering at the plate. Others we have recently tried out, such as Cedeno & Murton, seem to be close to tanking. And it's been this way for 20 years. I don't see how it could be classified as anything else other than bad. I look across the Illinois/Wisconsin border, and I see a farm system up there that makes us look like idiots. -

Unfortunately, I believe you will be proven correct. While Truffle's probably right about a, I'm still holding out a little hope Hendry will find a way to bring in Salty. I can understand a) and c) But on b) -- how will soto get no chance when its Hendry keeping him out and Hendry's days with the Cubs are numbered? -
Bad for my fantasy team, but it's not like I'm going to do anything this year anyway. Rain delay anyways. Does it look like a long delay, or will it be starting soon? I hope it doesn't get canceled, because if it does then we will have to face Gorzelanny.

So he can suffer the same fate as Mark Prior, Kerry Wood, Nomar Garciaparra, Derrek Lee and Aramis Ramirez No, no, no. That's just extra vacation time, yet another perk of playing for the Cubs. Of course, A-Rod would never want to draw on this extra special vacation.
