  1. Capuano's out after walking Aramis, DeRosa can tie the game here with a long ball. I'm feeling good right now. :D
  2. Oh well, I had made the mistake of gaining some hope that Miller had settled down and would be at least decent the rest of the way. Dang it.
  3. My apologies. You really should blame reggiemillerrules, though, because he's the one that should have picked. I happen to be higher on Abiamiri than most people. :D There's at least one Domer that I wouldn't pick if this draft went 200 rounds that for some reason is projected to be picked. We'll see who gets him. Where's he projected? 3rd or 4th round Walker? Harris. I'd like to have Walker as a 3rd-down back, although there is no earthly chance on this planet that he will ever be a starter. Ryan Harris? Madden '07 loves him. He's a usually a second or third round pick. In real life you're line was pretty bad, though, so I can understand.

  7. It came down to him or Jackson for me, but I felt Tanard fit the Giants system better. In reality, I would have probably drafted him over Ugoh and converted him to safety. CB happens to be one of the rare positions of strength for the Falcons. True, I'd probably start looking at offensive linemen for the Falcons. That line is terrible when Vick actually stays in the pocket. Well I got one in the 2nd, and I have my eye on another in the 3rd. Yeah, I'm stupid. For some strange reason, I was thinking Ugoh was a D-lineman. Good man. :D
  8. Much as I hate to see the Yankees win, that was great for my fantasy team.

  11. or gets incarcerated after another dui... maybe you're accounting for that with "moves on" though Possible, very possible.
  12. Someones gotta do it. Since you are the first to step up go for it. Then vance can go after you pick for the Rams. Well, I'm gonna go ahead and pick to keep this thing moving and if someone has issues, we can strike the pick or something. With the 20th pick in the second round, the Rams select defensive end out of Notre Dame, Victor Abiamiri. He's a first round/high second round talent that fell here and the right defensive end starter currently for the Rams is Victor Adeyanju. This gives them a little more depth and either Adeyanju or Abiamiri can take over when 33-year old Leonard Little (former Vol :D ) retires or moves on. They also have a need at free safety and outside linebacker, but the talent pool was stronger at end right here, I felt. Vance and the boys are now on the clock and I'll pm him.
  13. I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself.
  14. A whole group of teams must have had the same record because the Giants pick 20 in the first round and 19 in the second. This happened on a smaller scale last year when the Titans selected higher in the first than in the second.
  15. Sorry about the wait fellas, I fell asleep last night before I saw the pick came to me. The Giants select cornerback out of Syracuse, Tanard Jackson. I really wanted to trade down right here, but since I couldn't I felt Jackson fit the system better than any corner available. He's a big, physical corner with some speed issues, but that could be corrected a little with NFL trainers working with him. He reminds me a little of Sam Madison, who he'll be groomed to replace. Now the question is, is reggiemillerrules available to draft or am I or someone else drafting for him? If he's not around, I'm willing to make the pick for him, but I don't want to just do it without consultation.
  16. We got it the first 15 times you said it. :D And yet, it can never truly be said enough. :D
  17. Am I the only one that thinks that Guzman can be an effective reliever? He's doing well in a miniscule sample size so far.
  18. I'm quickly learning not to question Lou too much. :D
  19. Who then? well if you asked me before the year started who would be the cubs' best starting pitcher, I'd have said Rich Hill. Certainly don't feel any differently now. Much as I like Hill (and I really like him), I still feel more comfortable with Carlos out there. Hill is definately the second best though.
  20. That usually happens when a team finds its offense. Which is why last year wasn't much fun.
  21. why in the heck would calipari insist on staying at a c-usa school? is he that married to a kid a who'll probably only play one year for him anyway? Nah, Calipari wanted to stay at Memphis last year as well-he's made a few stops now, so maybe he just had found a job he feels comfortable at and doesn't need to jump schools-he still schedules well enough that Memphis can get one of the top seeds most years. it just seems like a lot more work for him is all. Some coaches like the added challenge. Why would Donovan even consider leaving Florida - where he's worshipped - and going to Kentucky - where he'll be mobbed if they don't win it all next year. It would be more work, but some like the extra work.

Calipari signed an extension through 2012 in late March, so he may be at least close to off the market. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2813678 This may mean nothing, but I think it'll have some impact on whether or not he leaves (it'll certainly mean UK has to pay more if he's interested).
