  1. I hope. I like Hart, but he's gotta be worn out.
  2. Of course. He can do everything...except, you know, hit the baseball decently. We have no position players. My guess would be DeRo behind the dish, Soriano at 2B, and somebody in LF. We're screwed if we need an emergency catcher. I'll agree with this point.
  3. Murton. He could...but isn't he still in the minors? Or am I a complete idiot? You're not the idiot. Thanks.

  5. Could Theriot play catcher if needed? I'm still wondering about possible emergency catcher.
  6. I've still got it on DirecTV channel 726. Will it change? Mojo just went away on comcast...anyone? Still on for me and it's the Comcast feed. 174? I'm watching DirecTV channel 726.
  7. Why? They called him up because the bullpen was taxed, or so they said. Hart is set to come in. This is precisely the situation they envisioned (this or the starter laying an egg and lasting three innings) that led them to want a fresh arm in the pen. I didn't realize Hart was coming in Yeah, Len mentioned it. Probably shouldn't assume everyone is watching the Comcast sports feed. I actually am watching the Comcast feed, but missed that mention.

  9. I've still got it on DirecTV channel 726. Will it change? no, 726 has the game slotted for 6 hours That's what I thought.

Didn't know this til now...and I don't understand Hart over Marshall.

  12. Hart, Wuertz, Lieber, Marshall Lieber's not available tonight, and Hart is only in emergencies. If the game keeps going, it will be Marshall's game for quite a while when he comes in either next inning or the one after that. Had to be the bearer of bad news, eh?
  13. I'm oddly unstressed about this game. I'll be very surprised if the Cubs lose it. I'm not worried either. More dissapointed for Dempster and Woody.
  14. Which brings him to, what, 50 pitches in four days? Who cares? He used to throw much more than that in one day. People need to stop looking for things to bitch about. How long has it been since he's started? honestly. He's been used a lot this first week. Since '06? 50 pitches over 4 days isn't a lot. Not even close. Not to me at least. Yeah, so it's been a year and a half since he's started. Maybe it's not a lot to you but apparently it is to him. And if we're already using him this much -it could quickly lead to serious over use over the course of the season. And I'm pretty sure he threw more than 50 pitches in those four days. If Howry gets it together, though, it won't be this way over the course of the season. Howry was supposed to be in that spot anyway. Woody blown save.

How long has it been since he's started? honestly. He's been used a lot this first week. I think he was starting early season last year in the minors. Not sure though. Either way, he shouldn't be in danger of overuse with this outing. I might consider another day off in the next couple if we can afford it, though. Really need Howry to get it together.
  16. Pretty sure it's game 8. And we had the day off yesterday.
  17. Whew...Marmol enduces the swinging bunt ground out. Inning over, Cubs still up 2-1
  18. What a play by Lee! Rivas pops up a bunt on the first base line and Lee dives forward and makes the grab! DLee then turns around and flips the ball to DeRosa at first for the DP! ...And then McLouth doubles in a run. :x
