  1. I wouldnt mind bringing Edwards onto the Bears staff in some capacity. He has experience as a head coach, and has ties to Lovie, although I dont think the Bears have any positions open. The Titans have a hole at DC still and the best candidate they've looked at is Jim Haslett (I'm also intrigued by Chuck Cecil). Herm's specialty is defense and I think I'd be very interested if I were the Titans. Not sure what style of defense he runs, though.
  2. Good idea for Singeltary to try bringing in an experienced guy like Reeves. Absolutely. I'm just surprised Reeves has any interest in being a coordinator. Yea but isnt Reeves getting up there in age quite a bit? Im guessing he misses coaching, but probably doesnt want the rigors of being a head coach anymore, so being an offensive coord. is the next best thing. Im really hoping Singletary is successful in San Fran, mainly because hes one of my favorite ex Bears, but also with hope he can take over for Lovie. Good point on Reeves, you may be onto something. And I'm definitely pulling for Singletary. I've always loved that '85 Bears team (it had Jeff Fisher on it - another plus) and Singletary was one of my favorites.
  3. I like Herm Edwards, but this would be an excellent move. Shanahan is an excellent coach. Shanahan should only be able to take this job if he promises to coach the Chargers at some point in the future. That way he can claim to be the head coach of all four AFC West teams. As long as he doesn't have to go back to the Raiders, I'd say he'll be happy. :D

  6. That's what your mother said last night, Trebek! Set up on a tee . . .
  7. Odd news here.
  8. You can have the Cardinals if you want. ETA: Err, I'm slow. Yeah, let's trade. Ya dang mods, editing my posts without me knowing.  You're far too slow. Or maybe you're too fast ... .
  9. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but I heard that if the Steelers win this is the final game for Dick LeBeau. You heard anything like that?

  11. I was wondering when you or Exile or JimSorgi were going to volunteer.
  12. You can have the Cardinals if you want. ETA: Err, I'm slow. Yeah, let's trade. Ok, so Flames is taking the Cards and Raisin the Jags? Got it, and I'll make the change.
  13. I'm in the same boat. After the second or third round, though, I don't mind the board giving my team the best player available if I haven't submitted picks and my war roommate isn't around. i think if people are going to be away for multiple days then they should just PM a couple of people who will be here and give them 5-10 picks in order so that things can just keep moving along. even if you're 10 picks down in the queue it shouldn't take you long to come up with a list. We could expand the time limit to 24 hours if people think that would be more convenient. If we start promptly after the combine, it'll give us 2 months to get through the rounds. If every single person takes the entire 24 hours, we'd get through 2 rounds without rushing. The likelihood of everyone taking all 24 hours is pretty much nothing, though. And PMing a list of players to me if you're going to be out is definitely a good idea.
  14. I'm planning on starting immediately after the combine ends. It runs from Feb. 18-24 - meaning we'll start probably Feb. 25 or so.
  15. I've actually tried to figure it out myself. She's not very attractive and is pretty much just skin and bones. And who's her brother? I don't know, but when she first hit it big, there were all these weird stories about her relationship with her brother. They'd apparantly kiss somewhat passionately, and there were incestuous stories. I was kidding a bit, but it's still part of her skanky persona. Yeah, that does nothing but make me less interested in her.
  16. I've actually tried to figure it out myself. She's not very attractive and is pretty much just skin and bones. And who's her brother? Angelina was pretty damn hot back in the Hackers-Gia days. It's been downhill since. I think it's the hot girl gets really famous and thinks she has to become a skeleton phenomena. I don't even remember those days for her. All I can think of are her current Skeletor days.
  17. I put you into the war room with jame.gumb - let me know if you want something else (or want out). Sounds good as long as jame agrees with all my picks ;) If you're an intelligent 49ers fan, I don't doubt at all that we'll agree on the picks. By the way, when are we planning on doing this? We'll start very soon after the combine. That's about what we did last year and we're waiting until then because there are often changes in players' grades during the combine. Of course. How many rounds? Are trades a part of this thing? Comp picks? No trades and we'll go as many rounds as we can. I expect about 3-4 however. Trades are simply too difficult to deal with. And comp picks will be included (as long as they're released by the time we start). I think we included them last year and I see no reason not to this year.
  18. I'll give you the Patriots, if that works for you.

  20. As for open spots, we still have Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Jacksonville, Indianapolis and New England. I know we have fans on here of Indy, Cleveland, Pitt and Seattle so show yourselves. And anyone who wants to join any war room still can.
  21. Make sure you take a wide receiver. You could be the next Matt Millen. :-"
  22. I put you into the war room with jame.gumb - let me know if you want something else (or want out). Sounds good as long as jame agrees with all my picks ;) Jame's the one announcing the picks, so it's actually you who better agree with him. :D
  23. I gave you KC. If you want to be in the GB war room as well, that'd work for me - but I didn't put you there yet.
  24. Besides Seattle the closest team to the west coast was Arizona, so I gave you them. If you don't want them, let me know. I don't think we have a huge Cardinal fan on here either.
