  1. Wow, I just got fired from a non-paying position! Good point. You get first dibs.
  2. The Jets, with the blessing of goony, select WR Hakeem Nicks from North Carolina here. Truffle and the Eagles are now on the clock. I'll PM him.
  3. Official? Or should I give IMB a little more time? You'd have to wait quite awhile for IMB Ahhhhhhh.

  5. The Browns will take S William Moore from Missouri here. Mike took Louis Delmas with the first pick in the second round in the original, so we'll go same position, different player since Delmas is gone. IMB and vance are on the clock for Dallas' pick. I'll PM them.
  6. I assumed as much. I was going to make the pick for you (and take him) since your time had run out, but I figured I'd let you make the selection - since it means so much. :D
  7. The Bears are paying Cutler just over 1 million in salary this year. Orton is going to make 995,000 this year. So, really, in the Orton-Cutler exchange, the Bears are out about 10k. Wow. That's pretty nice to have that little invested in such a good QB.
  8. Yep. He's our #1 receiver.
  9. If Arizona is TRULY willing to take a 2nd round offer plus considerations for Bolden, I don't understand why the Bears don't jump in. Bolden is clearly better then anybody the Bears could draft at 49 anyways. I don't expect the Bears to take a shot at Bolden, but I wish they would. But if not Chicago, then Tennessee would be a nice fit for Bolden. It could well be cost for them. Both Cutler and Boldin are likely to be paid significantly more than a draft pick will be - do the Bears have the cap room for him and the rest of their picks/needs? Most likely. Cutler isn't taking up much room at all, I'm pretty sure less than whatever the 1st pick would have been. If they spend no money on a 1st or 2nd, they will easily have room to sign the 3-7s. Also, with Cutler and Boldin, their other needs would disappear. Ok, I'm completely unaware of Cutler's salary. Just assumed it'd be high.
  10. I thought you and jame were discussing your picks. My bad.
  11. Works for me. Raisin and the Bears' war room is now on the clock. I'll PM him.
  12. Awesome. Come on Reinfeldt. I'd hate to lose LenDale, but this is a great draft to replace him in.

  14. Two players will grace the cover of Madden this year.
  15. The Cardinals have apparently now reduced their demands for Boldin. I really don't see any real negatives with the Titans surrendering a 2nd round pick and, for instance, Lavelle Hawkins for Boldin. Heck, I'd throw in Willie Mays Hayes for Boldin.
  16. Haha, yeah I remember that.
  17. The problem with this draft, though, is that there's not a clear #1 guy. The Lions best option is to trade down, but nobody wants that spot. I just had a flashback to the 2005 draft...and it was horrible. I think the talent is better in this draft, but it definitely has a feel similar to that one.
  18. Normally I would agree with you, raw, but if you can get a good value pick in the 6th or 7th rounds I think you take a QB late, especially if he is the highest rated player left on the board. I am not particularly impressed with the current Bears backup QB regardless of how much Lovie/Angelo says how much they like a certain backup QB. So if a Nate Davis (for example, and I am sure he won't be there late) is available in the 6th rd, I think you could have great value there. If there isn't a QB you like late in the draft, so be it. Last I heard Davis had risen his stock up, potentially, into the second round. If he's there in the sixth, the Bears better take him. Somebody like Hunter Cantwell or Michigan State's Brian Hoyer would be much more realistic to be there.
  19. Most of the draft stuff was going in either the offseason thread or the mock draft threads.
  20. The Titans have apparently contacted the Cardinals about swapping Tennessee's 1st rounder for Anquan Boldin. I'd do that trade in a heartbeat (or less), but I suspect Arizona will hold out for a 1st and 3rd. No deal is imminent, according to the reports.

  22. The Patriots here choose to further deepen their running back ranks and with the value of the pick, likely have their tailback of the future. New England selects LeSean McCoy, RB from Pittsburgh. MPC and Denver are now on the clock. I'll PM him.
  23. bump it to 3-4 hour limits? After that anybody can make the selection. Fine with me, given our time limitations.
  24. Let's see how far we can get today, shall we? The Giants here fill their need at outside linebacker by selecting Clint Sintim from Virginia. Houston and rawaction are now on the clock. I'll PM him.
