Best 1st round: Vikings. They don't have much left in this draft, but to net Floyd, Rhodes and CP in a talent-thin daft is impressive. Worst 1st round: Jets. A team with no offensive talent has 2 first rounders and doesn't do anything to improve the offense? There were worse individual picks made and I don't really hate the fits of Milliner and Richardson, but you have to address that miserable offense with at least one of the picks. 3 best picks: - Arizona, Cooper: I don't care who you put at QB, WR, or RB with that line because nobody was going to be any good without some kind of o-line talent and Cooper's a step in the rich direction. - Carolina, Lotulelei: I'm not convinced he's a major health risk, but I am convinced he's one of the few star talents in this draft. A bit of a gamble for the Panthers but one I think can pay off big time. - Pittsburgh, Jones: I'm probably the biggest Jarvis Jones fan on this board, but this was a terrific value. The Dolphins gave up a 2nd round pick to select a guy in Dion Jordan who I'm not convinced is better than Jones. The Steelers are great at drafting and this is just another example. 3 worst picks: - Bills, Manuel: I like Manuel a lot, but as a developmental guy in the 3rd or 4th round. Not as a 1st rounder who's going to be expected to produce fairly quickly. - Cowboys, Frederick: This screams pure desperation to me. Dallas needed an interior lineman and took one regardless of whether he was worth the pick. This draft is way too lineman-deep to reach for one. - Bears, Long or Colts, Werner: I can't decide on this one, so I'll list both. The Bears did the same thin the Cowboys did, but on a better player. The Colts took a good player at a decent value, but I just don't see how he fits a 3-4. I don't think he's athletic enough to be a rush backer, but I'm not sure he's big and strong enough to play end. Just seems like a weird pick, especially with Datone Jones available.
