Honestly, the trade to acquire Teix wasn't nearly as bad as trading away Teix for Casey Kotchman and Steve Marek. That was a simply abysmal trade and it was Wren's. If the Teix deal ends up basically being Feliz and Andrus for a year of Teix (and first dibs at re-signing him), that's not an awful trade. oh, no doubt wren's trade was worse. and the Salty/Andrus/Feliz/etc for Teix deal wasn't "awful" for Atlanta, but that's not really the standard Atlanta set pre-Wren. It certainly wasn't one of Schuerholz's shining moments. However, if they could have gotten Teix signed long term, it's a decent deal for them. They couldn't, though, which made it a bad trade and one of Schuerholz's worst. It was just piling on, then, that Wren got Kotchman and Marek for Teix a year later.
