  1. Heh, wait till the 4th to open it up.
  2. It's not all of his fault, they need a #2 WR, a TE, and some decent playcalling, but he hasn't been good enough to be a starting QB especially on a team likely to win 10-11 games. I want to see Grossman, to see if it would be worth moving up in the draft to address QB. I think they can work with Moose, Bradley, and Berrian. I'd like a legit #2 WR, but I think with the latter 2, Currie and Berlin, you have a chance to have a decent WR corps. TE is a necessity. Just start with 3 new ones in 06. Sign one, draft one early, draft one late. I'm not sure on Bradley now, speed WR coming off a serious knee injury around week 5. Rivera needs to bust their "___" in practice, put the team outside and work this team for a week.
  3. What the hell is that? A flare out to the HB on 3rd and 7.

  5. Last week should've been vs. a bad and depleted GB offense.
  6. The national bandwagon has just cleared out. They're getting it handed to them by a good team, but it's not b/c they don't have the talent, they have played very poorly.
  7. At this point, I agree. I still think if Orton finishes this game as the QB, he'll start next week.
  8. Moreso, when you have the worst starting QB in the NFL by a wide margin.
  9. Agreed, if the Bears are playing for next week, I'd keep Orton out there.
  10. Turner wasn't very good as the OC, the 1st time around. That was a horrible blocking scheme on that sack.
  11. There's still 8/9 in the box, stretch the field.
  12. Will we see Davis back there? Why not Peerless Price?
  13. ? "oh" PAh-vAn-Oh :)
  14. Orton is part of the reason, they've shrinked the play calling to a 10 yd. window b/c he sucks at throwing the deep ball. He's played better this week, yet the Bears have 3 points at the half and he has missed open receivers. He's under 50% completion and around 100 yds. with the Bears being down 10 points. I bring in Grossman now and the defense a tongue lashing for their lazy play.
  15. I think if you do it, you do it now to try and provide a spark for this team. I'd rather take a chance on the unknown than sticking w/futility.
  16. The Bears are down by 10+ points, Pitt's weakness on defense is when the offense stretches the field, and the Bears can't stretch the field b/c of Orton whether it is b/c of the play call or Orton's inability is more than enough reasoning to bring in Grossman.
  17. Again. I don't think that's the case at all. It's been a well called game by Pitt. They should have been off the field when that last TD happened. Thev've missed tackles, but I don't think it has anything to do with believing their hype. They missed tackles against GB as well & they're not getting in their gaps . It's the same thing that happened earlier in the year.
  18. This defense has started to believe their own hype again. They're doing the same thing that hurt them early on, when they sucked. Lovie has a been a poor in-game coach. This offense is trying to run time off the clock and not put points on the board. Orton hasn't played poorly, but if Turner is going to cont. to go for 4 yards per play b/c of Orton, time to bring in Rex. Turner has been less than impressive as OC.
  19. It definitely isn't out of the reach to forecast an OPS around .800. If you can get a .290/.340/.460 out of your likely #7 hitter making the League minimum, you'll have two things probably. 1)A strong line-up 2)A great bargain. Of course, you could have a manager who has shown an inability to put together a correct batting order. :)
  20. At this stage I would be against under of those scenarios b/c there is currently plenty of supply to improve RF beyond Patterson and SS w/Perez. They'd survive and likely improve over last year's offense, but they wouldn't maximize their offensive potential with CP or Perez in the line-up.
  21. Between dUKe being the best team in the NBA by a wide margin, IU spanking UK, and UL doing well as usual under Pitino. This is a rough start for us.
  22. Talentless and no effort is the best way to describe that 1st half.
  23. I'd rather half of Tubby than Davis. This team still lacks hustle, someone who can score, and someone on the inside (thanks NCAA SOBs).
  24. Like I said earlier, worst team in almost 15 years. Tubby deserves blame, being the classiest coach in the game sometimes doesn't translate to the most productive. I don't want him canned, but this team sucks right now, blows, they've played like crap all year. I'm terribly angry at his lifeless group. 7 years is too damn long. They had the best recruiting class last year in the nation and none have progressed.
  25. Damn, I wish Buike and Morris listened to better advice.
