  1. That's all the Red Sox want? We could do better than that. Jacque, Eyre and Player That's not better at all. JJ Putz was a great closer for the M's this year. Jacque is an average 31 year old OF and Eyre is a slightly above average middle reliever. That player you're tossing in there would have to be named Pie or Veal. Pie or Veal eh? I'd do it in a heartbeat to get 300/400/550 out of LF.
  2. That's all the Red Sox want? We could do better than that. Jacque, Eyre and Player Throw Soriano in CF, Murton in RF, Manny in LF. Soriano Murton Manny Lee Ramirez Barrett Derosa Izzy Division.
  3. The Cubs can't win 100 games this year unless they sign Schmidt, Bonds, Zito, and maybe another bench player. If the Cubs signed Schmidt and Prior came back healthy, they could win 100 with the current offense, IMO. I think the Cubs will be either good or great in 2007, with Prior being the deciding factor between the two. Well, I guess the Cubs will be good in 2007. The Crusader Avatar is here! Go Cross!
  4. So you're saying he's a Cub pitching prospect?
  5. From Phil's "Best Dressed of the Winter Meetings:" I understand that they like Marmol, but as much as Rich Hill!? McDonough must have some lame marketing idea cooked up for Marmol.
  6. Because I've been making gay jokes that Jimmy Bag 'O Donuts will sign Suppan for 3/30 for like two months now. And I meant them as Jokes...
  7. A possible infield of Lee, Soriano, Ramirez, and Barrett would rock. And...IZZY!!
  8. Plus Soriano stole Lance Johnson's bat. That's gotta count for something.
  9. Or sign him for 5/55. The market's crazy, Cuse!
  10. Right. I mean, that's sick. You could potentiall have 6 players getting an OPS over .900. Of course, I'm sure Izzy's .650 would balance it out nicely.
  11. Um....let's not get carried away. 1. Woody English 2. Kiki Cuyler 3. Rogers Hornsby 4. Hack Wilson 5. Gabby Hartnett 6. Riggs Stephenson 7. Charlie Grimm 8. Norm McMillan ...of my lifetime...sorry bout that.
  12. I think the lineup is pretty good as is. Drew or Wells would make it the best Cub lineup ever.
  13. "Now, at this point, both teams are tryin' to win the game." - Magic Johnson
  14. One stood for the National Anthem and one didn't? Book it. Trick question...Ditka is God. Exactly... wait a minute... Dick York, Dick Sergeant, Sergeant York...well that's weird!

  16. They already have the white version of Jacque Jones and they plan on trading or benching him. But the black version is cheaper! Maybe they want some relievers? If we can trade some relievers for a guy who hit 35 HRs last year, can play defensive premium postitions, is making barely over league minimum and is under control for the next three years, then whoever takes over for selig should just contract the Brewers. George Bell? I assume you are referring to us trading George Bell to the White Sox for Ken Patterson and Sosa. At the time George Bell was one of the highest paid players in the league, was a DH level defensively, hit 25 HRs, was 6 years older than Hall, production was declining, and so on and so forth. Forgive me if I am missing the comparison. No, I'm referring to this guy: http://img68.imageshack.us/img68/8219/da24zg9.gif You see, sometimes people do things that make no sense. Novoa for Hall sounds pretty nonsensical to me. We've got a chance, my friend. You could have just said V. Zambrano/Scott Kazmir Is my name Dayn Perry? I don't know, do you know the difference between correlation and causation? Not in the least! Do you know the difference between Chris Jackson and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf?

  20. Watch he'll have that Richard Hidalgo year. This does make the Soriano deal look a lot better though.
