  1. Now why did the Bulls fire Skiles again?
  2. Too bad the Bulls don't have anyone that can hit a 3.
  3. The Cavs offense today consists of hitting every shot from outside. That doesn't always work in the playoffs. Especially against better offensive teams. Despite hitting every shot, the 8 seed was hanging with them for 46 minutes. I don't see them as winning it all. Hopefully, LeBron will get sick of not winning and leave Cleveland this summer.
  4. I don't know the Cavs enough to know if they always shoot like this, but if they weren't hitting every open shot, they would be losing right now. It's not like they are getting easy shots in the paint.
  5. Seriously, with the huge supposed talent gap and the presence of the best player in basketball on the Cavs, this is what the game and even yesterday's game is coming down to. They can make outside shots (including 3s), and the Bulls can't.
  6. You stole my line. :) I hope they audition well, but nobody in the media seems to think they have any chance at all with LeBron.
  7. Too bad the Knicks will have plenty of money leftover. The only good player they are getting is Joe Johnson. And that money also depends on them losing David Lee. If they don't end up with 2 elite FA's, they will have made a really dumb mistake in alienating Lee and losing him. Is Lee really that much less valuable than Chris Bosh? Especially if he comes cheaper?
  8. Tiger managed to play like garbage and still contended. If he ever gets his putting back on track and his ballstriking even close to normal, then he'll start to win majors again real soon. Most people view him as a great ballstriker, but IMO, he's the best ever because of his putting. I think he's the best putter of all time. If Mickelson could putt like Tiger Woods, he might have 10 majors by now. Nobody in history has been better with 10-20 footers that mattered. His putting has just been off since he's come back from his surgery. We'll see if he gets it back. Phil was on fire this week. He's never going to hit every fairway or lay up. That's not his game. But he hit more than enough of them, especially on a pretty forgiving driving course. And he's got the best short game in golf by far. Should be an interesting year for majors.
  9. Yeah, they are even money right now to make the playoffs. And if they don't, the NJ loss is going to hurt a lot more. Oh well, its not like they are beating Cleveland. Maybe they get lucky again and win the lottery.
  10. WHAT A GAME! Come on Butler.
  11. WHAT A GAME! Come on Butler.
  12. Holy Crap what a game.
  13. zomg teh refs are cheaitng for duke!!!11111oneeetwo give it a rest. seriously. Who said anything about "cheating" or a conspiracy? Why don't you give it a rest. The officiating has been one sided. Just calling it as I see it. Stop being an annoying Dukie.
  14. How is that not a loose ball foul on Duke? So you're allowed to shove a guy who's going for a loose ball? These refs are making me ill.
  15. The second time a Butler guy got mugged on a layup and no call.
  16. Really? I remember an AB late last year when he swung at 3 straight pitches in the dirt 2 feet outside and casually walked back to the dugout. Like he didn't give a s@!t. Injuries, frustration, whatever. I was pretty damn pissed off at that. It will all be forgotten if he gets back to hitting. When it comes to athletes, I don't hold any grudges.
  17. Holy Crap! Where did all this money come from? Julius Peppers? The Bears never get a free agent like that. I guess that's what happens when everyone on the team except the owners might lose their jobs after 1 year?
  18. Unreal. Can anyone on the team get a board?
  19. Really missing Noah this game. And Deng for that matter.
  20. Did Portland really call timeout with 1.4 seconds left down by 4?
  21. Win this and they are right up against the #5 spot.
  22. The Bulls are still a better spot then NY, imo. the knicks can now afford 2 max free agents, the bulls can only afford 1 We already have a "max fa" in Rose so we don't need 2. In fact, Rose, Noah and Deng are better than any incumbent players on the Knicks roster (assuming David Lee is gone). So even if the Knicks lets say get Bosh and then try to sign Wade, we can counter by having Rose Noah and Deng. I'm not saying the latter two are all stars, but they both look to be very good rotation pieces on a contending team. i wasnt talking about who has the best situation team-wise. i was just saying that now that NY can afford 2 max free agents, that's even more competetion for a superstar this offseason. Yeah, maybe Knicks can certainly afford 2 max FA's, but why would any FA really think they could win a championship with the Knicks. Even if they score LeBron and another max FA, that's 2 superstars on a team of crap (without Lee, who they probably wouldn't be able to re-sign). Not a championship team. Plus, the lose their 1st rounder in 2011, and possibly swap with the Rockets in 2012 and burn up a lot of cap space making it difficult to build. The Knicks are taking a big gamble here. If they can't get 2 max FA's, they are really going to have a crappy team.
  23. McGrady to Bulls talks heating up: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/ct-spt-0217-bulls-knicks-chicago-20100216,0,4751731.story Assuming this rumor is true, I didn't realize they needed to unload so much salary for this summer. Without Kirk or Salmons, their committed money in 2010-11 is: Deng $11.3 million Rose $7 million Noah $3.1 million Johnson $1.7 million Gibson $1.1 million That's it. $24.2 million only. I just read somewhere that the salary cap is projected to drop to $50-$54 million next year. I wonder if that would allow 2 free agents. The luxury tax threshold is $70 million, which is where the Bulls salary is now.
  24. I don't think there's any reason the Saints wouldn't want him back at a reduced rate. He's a perfect fit there with Sean Payton and Brees and I think he'd probably take less than market value to stay. But if he gets on the market the Bears should definitely inquire. I would never want to go after a player as overrated as Reggie Bush. It just means someone is going to overpay for him. He might be the most overrated player in the league right now. During every single freaking Saints game, all you hear about from the commentators is Reggie Bush. He's not close to the best running back on the team, and he's not close to the best receiver on the team. And he's hardly a stellar return guy. He's just a RB who is decent when he comes out of the backfield and catches the ball. Big deal. That's only really valuable if he's a great runner, which he's not. No thanks. I'll take a pass.
