What do you think the effect was? Were the rain droplets knocking his throws off course? Was the water getting in his eyes? The ball would have been wet even when it stopped raining and it was pouring during the last drive in the first half. Rex's effectiveness is related to one thing: Pressure. And? Your point? If Rex has enough time to throw, he's shown that he'll be very effective. If he doesn't have that time, it's a lot tougher. In Sunday's game, the change was the Line started making blocks and opening holes. The Giants were well-prepared (no surprise there) for the Bears, and the Bears made excellent adjustments to New York's game plan. I thought Lovie and the staff clearly made a lot of correct calls and got things going. Every RB, every QB, every WR and every offense lives and dies by its O-Line. That's just the way it is. They may not have the glamour, but they are incredibly important. When they fail, and allow penetration into the backfield, it's the QB, or the RB that takes the blame. In this game, Rex had one bad pick, and it was costly. TJ and Moose had bad fumbles that were much more costly. Personally, I thought Rex looked fine. Much ado about nothing here.
