    Cards about to go to 1-8 versus teams over .500, with a pretty brutal run differential in those games. The pitching will probably get better, but the offense is a pretty safe bet to get markedly worse. I really wouldn't be least bit surprised to see them finish on an island in third place.

    I really, really detest cold weather Wrigley. Even when the Cubs win there's an air of frigid, offense suppressing misery to the games. The wind has deprived us of many, many dongs thus far in 2016.

    Apparently the plaintiff is claiming that Martinez knowingly gave her multiple STDs, which in Florida constitutes battery.

    April baseball in the north sucks. There's nothing to be done for it, but it still blows.

    I loaded up the FSMW MLB.tv feed of the Cards/Nats game from last night, and the intro was something like "would you rather have a team with the best player (showing Harper), or a team of great players (showing gritty Card highlights)? This weekend it's glitz and glamour versus guts and grit!" That last part is pretty much verbatim. It was eye rollingly gross. It's no wonder many of their fans are so obnoxiously deluded when their media spoon feeds them the narrative.

    I'm totally with you. Coomer is not good, and while Pat is, I think he's a little overrated by some. Len and J.D. >>> Pat and Ron.

    no...it's his dumb doofus sounding stumbling bumbling delivery which is further exacerbated when he's doing pbp Yeah, he's just not good.

    Also, the Astros have been...not good. Pedestrian offense, ineffective pitching. Probably the most surprising development thus far in 2016.

    Yeah, this was very predictable. The Nats will play the way they should have been regardless, and Dusty will win acclaim for it, and probably the MoY. The man has a knack for finding himself is extremely favorable starting positions. It'll be interesting to see how he will botch things in the mid-long term, though.

    Yeah, we haven't had a difficult schedule. But aside from the Cubs and Pirates, they've played a very soft schedule this far. Plus they've played the Braves, who are probably the worst team in baseball. They have nothing to be complaining about.

    I've read a lot of Reds fans moaning about "all these bandwagoning Cubs fans" in GABP, as if Cubs fans haven't been coming there en masse since the place opened. What actually bothers them is that the Cubs fans stand out because place is 2/3 empty due to their own fans being fair weather chumps, and their team sucks.

    I think the "enough already" comment was a continuation of his rant about Cubs fans chanting "let's go Cubbies" during the top of the ninth, not in response to all the hits. He was clearly butthurt about the vociferousness of the Cubs fans in attendance. Either way it was a sad and petulant little tantrum.

    WTF is this? THAT is Skyline chili? Chili over spaghetti with cheese? And the chili itself is an abomination. It's an abominable component of a greater abomination. It's an affront to humanity.
