  1. If I were a fan of either of these teams, I'd have died a couple innings ago. This is madness.
  2. I think that this is probably accurate, and I expect that he would veto just about any trade as well. And though I certainly do not have any great expectations at this point, I haven't completely given up hope for Heyward offensively.
  3. It was a stupid, torturous series that should have ended two horsefeathering days ago. I'd like to forget the whole horsefeathering thing. That series was amazing and playoff baseball doesn't get much better than that. It's supposed to be torture. I'd agree if it hadn't also been so sloppy. But I'm sure I'll feel better about the whole thing tomorrow after my new ulcer has calmed down.

  5. You're not the only one. That 4 hours of torture.
  6. I'm not typically a grit guy, but that was pure guts by Davis.
  7. Wade isn't the machine Chapman is, and this treatment damn near ruined Aroldis
  8. I'm just going to turn off the game and watch this thread
  9. This whole series can die in a fire, win or lose.
  10. I had to turn the game off, as I am in danger of suffering a cardiac event. What happened?
  11. This horsefeathering series is shortening my life
  12. same x3. In addition to torturing us, he's a garbage person.
  13. http://78.media.tumblr.com/3ce7a56ab17193cd1bc024cda2ec5b86/tumblr_ngzvunFsf41tu4c7to4_250.gif I trust Hendricks. I don’t trust the hitters. Everyone has completely sucked with possible exception of Rizzo. They are lucky to be in this series. Nats fans are probably saying the same thing about their offense. Outside of two innings, they have been completely silenced. And they were really potent all season. A lot of really good pitching this series.
  14. The only thing that has really disappointed me has been the defensive lapses. I expected runs would be at a premium, and the Nats caught a huge beak with the rainout.
  15. I agree, but this has a whole lot to do with Scherzer and Strasburg. they're obviously very good, but they had ERAs in the mid 2s this season, it's not like they were flirting with no hitters and striking out 10+ batters every game. I didn't say it was all them, just that this isn't a case of the offense just going to sleep. I do think most of our guys seem to be pressing a bit. And the inability to realize Strasburg was going to the low change in almost every two-strike count tonight was pretty infuriating.
  16. Taylor has hit pretty well this series. Their best hitter right now. And he does have pretty impressive raw power that he taps into from time to time. He's not a slap hitter by any means.
  17. He's losing me. For real. I want to punch him in the throat right now. He's not losing me, but this reliance on the same guys (and his straight-up refusal to not have Zobrist in every game at all times) is really irritating me.
  18. I wish they hadn't scored any, but losing 5-0 would be easier to stomach than 1-0 on a gift run.
