  1. No, I'm the same. I'll buy some new apparel (like an authentic jersey and maybe some nice outerwear), but the WS gear really doesn't do it for me.
  2. All the PTR posts, or inane posts from people indignant that the front office wasn't trying hard enough to only lose 85+ games in 2012-14 instead of 95+. The Soriano photoshop thread was also pretty great.
  3. It's funny, watching the game live, I was so excited that I didn't really notice Bryant's slip while delivering that final throw. But every one of the dozen or more times I've watched the replay, my heart almost skips a beat when I see it.
  4. http://www.si.com/mlb/2016/11/03/world-series-cubs-indians-game-7 https://theathletic.com/24756/2016/11/03/jason-heyward-spoke-and-the-cubs-responded-to-make-history/ Not footage, but a little insight into how it went.
  5. The series definitely wasn't a masterclass in managing on either side, that's for sure. Fortunately for us, the end result obscures all of that. As for you guys, I think the toll of being down two SP finally caught up. You won the first two series quickly, but that it went seven games probably just proved too much. Seeing Kluber for the third time in just over a week was definitely a factor, as was the workload your bullpen took on.
  6. They do, and he will, without doubt. We've come a long way since the days in 2012 and 2013 when people were crying about the process.
  7. What an article. Indeed. There are going to be (and probably already are) a ton of bandwagoners, but for the long suffering, being a Cubs fan wasn't so much a choice, but something that came through family indoctrination. As such, odds are all of us were close to at least one lifelong die hard Cubs fan who didn't make it here. Last night was mostly euphoria, but today is more comprehensively emotional as the full scope of the thing sets in.
  8. Judging by your posts last night, you got drunk in one heck of a hurry XZero77 is Theo. My finances would be in far better shape if I were. In retrospect, pounding two bottles of champagne in a very short period of time after not drinking for about a decade was ill advised. I don't regret doing that, but I both rue and lament it. But ibuprofen and a Cubs world series title have taken the edge off this morning/afternoon.
  9. Okay, I going to bed. I'll hve more articualte thoughts tomorrow. Love you all.
  10. Something tells me it's not the leg that's gonna keep you from wanting to leave the house tomorrow. Probably true. But what a game, and whar a time to be alive.
