My guess is that Assad will head to Iowa, though, tonight shows you what can be on the best of days. Baseball is brutal, and he's likely going to be a causality of "there's no such thing as too much pitching". But it's a tip-of-the-cap that we have gotten to a point, any point this year where we go "you know what? That guy who looked really good? We might have too many guys right now".

There's an energy around the team post-deadline. I think it helps that the Dodgers are in town for sure, but everything is just rocking right now. It's fun.

He tunnels so well. His fastball and his change up are two of the best pitches in baseball. And his walk rate is below 4% so he isn't someone who misses his spots often. I'm willing to give anyone a pass if they misread a fastball or a changeup out of his hand and my guess is that it was the case.
