    I keep forgetting he had a couple good hits in his limited at bats beefing those numbers up. After checking the mets offensive stats, jeeze they are pretty bad. I remember hearing how the pitching was carrying the load for the team but didnt realize the bats were THAT bad. Then again, i dont think it matters who it is going up against our bullpen, its just toast.

    yikes means that we have 2 for sure outs at the bottom of the lineup when your running ross out there better off just doing the classic pitcher bats 9th style. i dont get it.

    Same, i feel like a split would be a blessing. im not looking forward to the mets pitchers making our stud prospects look bad. I hope that doesnt happen. but its probable

    i was at the game today drove up to milwaukee with the lady for a nice day out. was going good until [expletive] joe pulled montero then did that stupid shift in the 11th. also being behind home plate, 2 of Kbs ks looking were clearly outside. fckn umps. Rest of may 4 x mets - great pitching, potential for bad cubs bats high 3 x pirates - getting hot might win series 3 x padres - bad pen chance to get beat hard by these bats 3 x dbacks - good chance to win series 3 x nationals - getting hot could be trouble 3 x royals - just as good as the cards.. our schedule is fckn hard the rest of this month overall if they don't start getting [expletive] right, they could easily find themselves 6-13 (21-28) by june after this coming stretch against these contenders and teams with good bats (bad for our pen situation)

    i dont know if they ever released any info on la stella. but it would be nice to have him back to play 3rd a little till bryant gets his head straight. even when he swings it looks weak.

    past 10 games or so bryant has looked so lost at the plate. he needs a day off.

    he is getting pitches to drive recently (KB) but he is taking them looking. mentally he just dont know when to swing..

    There was no reason to worry about the rookies struggling before may started after we had a winning record. Back around the beginning of the year we all expected these guys to go through periods of struggling. its over emphasized due to the fact we have a chance this year...

    Have I said I love Joe Maddon before? I love Joe Maddon. Oh that is lovely. I am so loving this team. Seriously, even the first two games of this series I was loving this team and just angry at the wizardry of the Cardinals. Maddon is my hero. Castro is so much fun it's silly. Rizzo is money. Russell is flat out awesome. Bryant is King. Everyone on this team has their moments (well, still waiting on a lot of the bullpen). I'm just super excited to be enjoying baseball again. Is there video of Maddon saying this? Castro is fun but he needs his old stroke back. too many grounders/dp's

    If the cards are tipping pitches, how have they won 20 games? Am I misunderstanding the question? Ron Coomer said on the radio that the cards are tipping pitches he said Holliday was warning the batter it was gonna be inside. maybe he shouldnt have said tipping pitches more like giving signs to the hitter whats coming next?

    i was posting about this in last night's game thread. i am really, really frightened that the cardinals are going to make a real effort to wreck his brain. well it wasnt an issue when he kicked they're ass game 5 of the world series a couple years ago, but i hear ya.
