Nope, he's a catcher. If he were in any other org, then yes, he would be a LF/1B/DH. Thing is, we have a 1B, can't have a DH and most likely will need LF for Bryant. It's in our best interest to make him a catcher. Got to have good enough pitching to make up for any framing issues, that bat at the C is just too much of an impact. -

Having a family split between cubs and sox fans, i'm used to watching games with and without DH over the years. To be honest, pitchers already have the highest risk of injury in the game just from pitching junk, having them not bat is probably in the best interest for the player. From an organizational standpoint, its probably better for teams too as they can reduce the risk of injury to assets. That said bring it on!!! Vogelbomb would be here already. -

Honestly, Lake would probably be a better fastball reliever than Schlitter. At least we have a decent pinch runner besides Travis Wood now

He's long overdue. If he doesn't dong tonight I'm going to have to go find out if he ever went this long without one at USD. Probably has, hey at least he is getting on base at an amazing clip!!!! I never seen a prospect, a rookie, who they pitch around from day 1... he hasnt had many good pitches to hit yet.

I checked his stats in the minors and with the mets, seemed like he had lots of up and downs over the years. But these past 2 games he has looked really filthy. i wonder if its a fluke? anyways better then schlitter
