Schwarber stays behind the dish and continues to dominate. By the end of the year he will be a top 10 prospect. By the end of his career he will be a HOF catcher. I am all in on Kyle "people piss me off" Schwarber.

The Phillies could include double of what is left on their contracts and I still wouldn't do it. I only move Bryant if I am getting Harper and Strasberg back in some sort of mega trade.

I will absolutely take the Front Office + Bosio with up to 25 million to spend for 2016-2018 over 2016-2018 Hamels. There's a small but non-zero chance it happens starting this year too. Good point. My position is, barring a trade that gives up one of the New Core Four, I will trust the FO either way. I love the position we are in.

How cool would it be for Jackson to get a chance and run with it, regain his form and build some trade value? Sell him and Welly or Coghlin for prospects to a contender, around the same time trading some of our blocked prospects for a top of line starter or mid order LFer.

I could see us starting the year with Castro batting cleanup only because he seemed to like it last year and Maddon being a player's manager, but give him a few shots to keep it. But by midseason I would think Bryant or Soler would be there.

Kevin Brown was the weird one for me. He's Curt Schilling minus the bloody sock. Brown had a 5 year stretch (96-00) where he won 82 games with a 164 ERA+, 2.51 ERA, and 1.051 WHIP. Pretty sure that is better than any stretch Schilling had. Steroids.

So if someone gets hurt late in their career, they are probably on steroids. Oh, and also if they don't get hurt, too. Got it.

Someone should put together a gif of all of Sosa's hits against Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz/Johnson/Martinez. That'll show 'em how silly they're being.

I love how everyone here is assuming the worst. Yeah, it doesn't look good, but its a freaking headline really, we don't know any of the facts. For all we know, his bodyguard was protecting him from gangsters who are trying to shake him down. Sure, in this hypothetical, you'd hope he'd just avoid those kinds of places, but 20somethings are generally pretty stupid. Doesn't mean he's a gangbanger himself. I mean, remember how everyone thought Tonya Harding was an awful person? When we found out the facts that she was an innocent and her bodyguard was the mastermind, then we all accepted her back with open arms and I think this could be a similar situation. :wink:
